LibreOffice 25.8: still no way to unlink and keep formatting
With the news that LibreOffice's new version 25.8 allows for converting of fields to normal text, I decided to give it a try. I duly loaded my thesis and attempted to unlink citations.
To my dismay, not a single citation unlinked correctly. Every single one converted to simple plain text without saving any of the formatting.
As a second attempt, instead of using Zotero's unlink function, I tried to use LibreOffice's explicit new "Convert Field to Text" function, but it turns out that the function is greyed out for every Zotero reference. It works on LibreOffice fields (such as current page, page count, date, etc.) but it seems that it will not work for Zotero references. Perhaps the way that Zotero referenes are coded in the plugin prevents them from being converted.
Has anyone been able to get this working yet?

ulahcherubimI had a similar issue with MS Word and migrating to LibreOffice. When I unlinked my citations in order to move to LibreOffice, all formating (titles in bold in my case) just disappeared they became unformatted text. I am now in the process of re-entering all of them through Zotero with LibreOffice.
