How to remove superscript from numeric, brackets in-text Zotero citation style?

Hi all,
I'm using the APA 7th edition (numeric, brackets) citation style in Zotero, specifically this style:
https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:apa-numeric-superscript-brackets

I would like to keep the in-text citations as numeric and in brackets (e.g., [1]), but I want to remove the superscript formatting so that citations appear inline like normal text (not raised) and keep everything else as is. Does anyone know if one such style already exists in the Zotero Style Repository?

Alternatively, I’ve found the section in the .csl file and I see that it includes vertical-align="sup". Is it correct that I can simply remove that attribute to achieve what I want? For example:

layout delimiter="," prefix="[" suffix="]"
Will this change anything else in the formatting I should be aware of?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice!
