Sync via usb between devices

Hi,
I am my files and library on a mac. I now plan on getting an e-reader based on Android and would like to sync it with my mac. However, for personal reasons, I do not want to use wifi on the e-reader. Is it possible to sync between the mac and e-reader via usb instead?

I guess it depends on what you mean by sync. If you just mean transferring files from one to another, then sure, it's possible but it's not automatic, only manual. If you mean that zotero takes care of monitoring changes and then reflect these changes on the otherside natively, then no.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the goal would indeed be to save highlighting and annotations done on the e-reader. So basically: read and highlight on the e-reader, plug a cable from e-reader to mac, and then be able to see highlighted/annotated bits on mac.

You can use the ZotMoov send to tablet function. I'm not sure how good the documentation in English is, it's equivalent to the ZotFile feature of the same name.

Note, though, this means not using the Zotero app on Android -- that does require internet-based sync.

Thanks, that seems interesting. So this is something to install on the mac and then it sends to the e-reader via the "send to tablet" function, is that right? And then I read/highlight/annotate via a PDF reader on the tablet and then, what? There is a reverse option to update the file from the tablet to the mac?

Basically -- most people use this with a 3rd party sync service like Dropbox, which won't work for you (because it relies on internet on the Android device), so you will have to understand the principles of how this operates and then adapt them to your workflow.
