Bold/italics shortcut has no effect unless text is selected
This issue happens in the interface for adding a "comment" to a highlight in the PDF viewer:

has no effect, unless a piece of text in the editor is selected.The expected behavior is that pressing
Cmd-B
should enable bold mode, such that subsequently typed text are all bold. Pressing Cmd-B
again should turn off bold mode, so text typed afterwards are normal. Same should apply to the other shortcuts (italics, superscript, etc). This behavior is true for Zotero's "Notes" editor interface, and indeed most text editing software out there.Can this be implemented in the "Add comment" interface?
I'm on macOS 14.3, with Zotero 7.0.5.
Just confirming; do your shortcut keys not work at all, even if you select the desired words with the mouse in the "Add comment" interface? Because for me, the shortcuts work when words are selected.
