display "omit author" in notes

In notes, when I select "omit author" for a citation, the author name continues to be displayed and the citation format (author, date) remains identical as without "omit author" selected. This makes it impossible to determine whether I have already selected "omit author" or not just by looking at the citation in notes, because with or without "omit author" the citation looks the same when viewed in notes.

When importing into Word, the author name is indeed omitted as expected. So the fix needed is for notes only.

Developers had indicated that they want to add this functionality in the future (from when "Omit author" was still called "Suppress author").

It has been two years since the developers indicated that they think it is an issue to be fixed. I left a new comment on the original thread started by you.
