Upgrade StorageZotero won't add citation/bibliography on Google Docs
It worked fine when I used Microsoft Word and just a few days ago on Google Docs, but it suddenly won't add any citation or bibliography and instead just searches for number 1 through the document and it won't stop. I'm currently using Edge and I tried Chrome, restarting both apps and my laptop, making another copy of the document, but still face the same trouble.

This would happen if you edited a citation by accident to include only a "1" (or some other operation did that), and on Google Docs it has to scan the document for each instance of "1" because of that. See what I say there to fix.
