Zotero Beta Desktop File not working anymore

I noticed that Zotero Beta wouldn't open any more using the .desktop file.
After some research I noticed that the .desktop file got changed in https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/4163.
The issue for me is especially this change: https://github.com/zotero/zotero/commit/06741ceb623db8de3ae9972bcae73ee4e0049dcb
Without the backslashes added here the file works without any problem for me.

I am running Fedora 40.

There was another report of this in Fedora 40, but as I note there, it's working for me on Fedora 40.

You mentioned in the other thread that you were running it in a Fedora VM. Is that a new installation? And are you running a specific spin?
I installed the normal version and added KDE Plasma to it.

It was a new installation, yes. But I think we can probably just revert the latest change to the desktop file, since I don't think we were actually getting any reports of problems before that. Someone just pointed out that the 'desktop-file-validate' command on Ubuntu was flagging a few things.

Yes, this is working fine.
