Upgrade StorageDisable highlight popup in pdf reader when selecting text
Greetings. When I use the built-in pdf reader on Zotero desktop, I am unable to select text without triggering the highlight-color-selection popup.
This is expected behavior, as described in the documentation:
"In the default, unlocked mode, with nothing selected in the annotation toolbar, whenever you select text in the document, a popup will appear with a selection of colors, and you can click a color to create a highlight or underline on the selected text."
I would like ability to turn this off.
I frequently select text to temporarily focus on a particular few sentences, without making an annotation. The little highlight popup is visually distracting and it covers up text that immediately follows the selected text. It should be possible to just select text like in any reader, without it triggering an annotation action.
Is there a way to disable, or a workaround?
