Correct capitalisation of Latin names in titles with MDPI style
Hi all,
I am trying to format a citation that has a Linnean name in the title. There seems to be some discussion of this already, with the suggestion to use to force correct capitalisation (eg https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/91997/latin-names-of-species-lower-case-in-titles and https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/86426/how-to-force-a-letter-to-be-lower-case-in-title ) with to force italics. However, the code does not seem to work any more:
1. Ong, P.K.C.; Acree, T.E. Similarities in the Aroma Chemistry of Gewürztraminer Variety Wines and Lychee (Litchi Chinesis Sonn.) Fruit. J. Agric. Food Chem. 1999, 47, 665–670, doi:10.1021/jf980452j.
Interestingly, other styles (such as APA 7th) seem to get capitalisation right, even if they still include the code as part of the name:
Ong, P. K. C., & Acree, T. E. (1999). Similarities in the Aroma Chemistry of Gewürztraminer Variety Wines and Lychee (Litchi chinesis Sonn.) Fruit. Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 47(2), 665–670. https://doi.org/10.1021/jf980452j
Is the only solution to manually edit the MDPI style somehow? I am using Zotero 6.0.30 on Windows 10.
Thanks!

? It should be
.Thanks for the replies! To clarify, in the Zotero record I used . The capitalisation seen in the code in the first example citation is an artefact of the way that Zotero is capitalising titles with the MDPI style.
