Help - can't add citations/update bibliography

Hello,

I was able to add citations up until this morning to my word. Now when I try to click add/edit citations, nothing happens, the red box doesn't appear, and instead it just causes the zotero app to pop up. When I click on the citations or bibliography they turn grey but I can't add to them or add any new citations to my document. I tried opening a new word document and the same thing happened. I can't figure out how to fix this.

    Make sure the citation dialog isn't just appear behind your other windows. That's the most likely situation. The citation dialog window is part of the Zotero app.

    Restart Zotero if you're having trouble.
