Zotero 7 Beta: Jumping pointer position after a click in the bottom empty space of a note
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open a note in the Notes pane on the righ-hand side of a PDF
2) Write a few lines
3) Put the pointer on the first line
4) Click in the empty space at the bottom of the note
--> At that point, the pointer shortly blinks on the last line, but finally goes back to its original position.
See the Screen recording 1.
Windows 10
Zotero 7.0.0-beta.53+969031a37 (64-bit)
[I had pointed out before that I would prefer that a click in that empty space goes to the end of the last line, as with Notepad or Sublime Text, instead of going to the horizontal position of the mouse click in the last line, as it is currently doing when the note is opened in a separate window (and also in Z6). But I don't know if this done on purpose.

This behavior always triggers the links popup of a citation if it is on the last line.

The question is whether all Windows users experience this or this is something specific with your system.
Normaly it works as you would expect from other text editors.
But the problem does not occur all the time: some clicks go to the last line and some clicks jump.
I am still trying to figure out why it happens, but it does not seem to be related to my account or computer.
Same problem also from my main account on Ubuntu 23.10. So also not OS specific.
Anyone else can reproduce?
I still see the problem, but also not systematically as I observe in my main laptop (Screen recording 1).
I don't know if the errors in the error report can give any clue.
Report ID: 2057224521
Clicks in the note do not seem to leave any trace in the Debug Output.
Any idea on what I could do to debug this?
Other things I have tested on my main laptop:
- Disconnected the external monitors
- Disconnected the Logitech mouse and replaced it a Dell cabled mouse
- Disconnected from internet
- Restarted the computer
