Word Plug-in Error; Juris-M crashes after selecting citation; Sonoma

edited November 21, 2023
Hi. Another Sonoma related word plugin error here. I completely understand that the good people who work on Zotero may not be able to help me with this since I am running Juris-M, but I am dependent on this software. I am only posting here to potentially get the attention of the great Frank Bennett and other Juris-M experts.

I am running:
Juris-M 6.0.22m4
Zotero 6.0.30
MS Word 16.79.1
MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1
Zotero Word for Mac Integration 6.0.6.SA.6.0.22m4

Issue:
Currently, I have been able to get a clean version of Word to connect to Juris-M. However, when I select a source, Juris-M immediately crashes. When I reinstall the Zotero word connector, word connects and loads citations without issue. This issue started immediately after updating my computer to Sonoma.

Troubleshooting attempts:
- I have upgraded both Zotero and Juris-M to the beta versions independently. No luck.
- I have deleted the zotero.dotm file from the Word startup folder (~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content.localized/Startup.localized/Word) and re-installed from both Zotero and Juris-M. No luck.
- I have reset the normal.dotm file from the Word template folder (~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content.localized/Templates.localized). No luck.
- I followed the instructions for clearing /Users/Shared/.zoteroIntegrationPipe_ found here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/12054/#Item_10 and again no luck. (If it matters, I am using chrome and do not have firefox installed on my computer).
- I have ran MS Word using Rosetta. No luck.
- I have restarted my computer and the various programs.

Strange behavior:
- When I open Juris-M I am prompted that "'Jurism.app' would like to access data from other apps." I select allow. This did not happen before upgrading to Sonoma and it does not happen with Zotero. I gave both Zotero and Jurism full access under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access. The message went away but the issue remains.
- Not every time Jurism restarts, but some times, I am prompted with a window stating that the there was an error with the pipe zotero uses in osascript to communicate with word. I am then prompted to under my password (which I do). I am trying to recreate this so I can give you the actual text, but it has not occurred recently.
