Zotero Integration Error after repeated troubleshooting

Hello,

This is for Report ID 1107910376.

I have deleted all versions of Zotero and wiped my computer completely clean of it before redownloading Zotero 6 and repeatedly get a "Zotero Integration Error" when I try to insert a Citation into Microsoft Word for Mac (Version 16.49). I have gone to Zotero>Settings>Cite>Reinstall Microsoft Word Add-In and it still has the same error. I have gone to Zotero>Tools>Add-Ons and ensured it is enabled. This occurs if I open a blank Word document too.

Please advise - at this point I'm ready to move to EndNote or another citation manager.

If you reinstall Zotero 6.0.26 over your current version, close Word, and reinstall the plugin from the Cite → Word Processors pane of the Zotero settings, does that fix it?

Thanks but I have already done this and it did not work.

You've tried reinstalling 6.0.26? To be clear, that's not the current version. I'm saying to use my link to download the previous version.

Aha sorry, just installed 6.0.26 over my current version. This has worked, thank you! How do I prevent Zotero from automatically updating me to the newer version?

We've pulled 6.0.27 for now, so you don't need to worry. We'll shortly be pushing a 6.0.28 that reverts the plugin change (which was intended to fix macOS Sonoma beta compatibility). Sorry for the trouble.

@dstillman - it looks like Zotero automatically updated to 6.0.27. Any idea what's going on here? Reinstalling 6.0.26 over it again
