Make attachment modification time be the same as attachment file modification time

When I edit attached pdf in external application, then save it, the attachment modification time does not change. And this make impossible to find them later (for example, searching for items modified in the last 3 days).

Would it be possible to add an option to copy attachment file modification time to the attachment property?
