"Too old to sync" yet will not update


Hi there, I keep getting a pop-up that my version of Zotero is "too old to sync," yet whenever I attempt to check for updates, it stays stuck on the screen which says "connecting to the update server." I wonder if it has something to do with me renewing my subscription, which I did do on my laptop and this has seemed to resolve the issue, but I am seemingly unable to do this on my work computer.

Apologies, I am not very techy, this is probably a simple fix!

Also, while I'm here - THANK YOU for the awesome service that is Zotero!!
