Upgrade Storageallow group subscribe requests
I have a group

that is "Public Open" (Controls who can see and join your group)
Nevertheless, to add another person who's half-willing to join but not yet on Zotero I need to follow this workflow:
- ask them to make a Zotero account
- ask them again in a couple of weeks "what is your Zotero account"
- find the "invite" link (not so easy: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/101143/groups-have-two-inconsistent-member-lists) and send an invitation
- check in a couple of weeks at "Member Settings> Member Invitations" whether they accepted the invite. If not, ask them to do it
All this asking happens outside of Zotero.
I'd like to "invert" the workflow so that potential users take more of the initiative instead of the admin. I think the following functions will be very useful to both admins and users alike:
- "Generate invite link" that I can send out so anyone can use it to join the group
- "Subscribe to group" request, i.e. a user can click a button thus ask to join the group
- "Resend invitation" button in the "Member Invitations" page

- a "Join" button if you're logged in to a Zotero account
- a link to "Log in or Register to Join a group" if you
For a public open group, that page is as good as an invite link. For a closed group, open invite links for unlimited users pose some security concerns, so not sure if Zotero wants to go that way.
You can send people an invite to a group to any email. If they click on the invite link and are logged in, they'll join the group. If they are not logged in, they get a large banner asking them to log in to register to join the group.
I agree that an option to resend invitations (rather than having to cancel and re-send) would be nice & pretty standard.
