I paid for Zotero but not sure what I paid for?

Hi I was getting a triangle icon with a question mark in it and when I hovered with my mouse on it it showed this message: "You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.

See your zotero.org account settings for additional storage options.

Kamm - 1993 - Morality, mortality.pdf (23456 KB)"

So I purchased 2GB for $20, but I am still getting the same exact message.

When I click on OPEN ACCOUNT SETTINGS it says the following:

Current Plan

Quota 2000 MB

Expiration
October 13, 2023

Current Usage
My Library - 0 MB

Total - 0 MB

Could you please advise? I don't know what the problem was in the first place, and I don't understand what I have paid the subscription for
  • The account you're posting from has no data in it and has never been used for syncing, so you just purchased storage for the wrong account.

Check the account you're actually syncing with from the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences, and then email us at storage@zotero.org and we can transfer the subscription to that account.
  • Thank you the problem has been fixed. I just have a question. Even when I got the error message that I was out of space, the files I uploaded from my computer office were uploaded fine on the server so I could access them from my home computer (that's before I paid for storage). So, what was the error message about?
  • You just get some space for free. Everything above that would've been inaccessible elsewhere.

(And this is just about files. Your library data would still show up everywhere even if you were at your file storage quota.)
