@afgs Thank you for good intentions, but as detailed in the issue you linked, there are some structural issues in the whole Office ecosystem that make things move slower than what we'd like. We don't…

I found the discussion I was referring. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/133621/wanna-help-word-online-happen/p1

A plugin for the mobile version of Office is planned, but we've been waiting for Microsoft to fix some things in the plugin framework (which will also make a Word Online plugin possible).

Malheureusement Zotero ne supporte pas encore Word Online. C'est en développement depuis quelques années, mais Microsoft doit corriger plusieurs problèmes bloquants avant que la solution devienne via…

Please do not do this. Microsoft has been working constructively with us since I've created issue 1751 on their office-js repo (linked above), and a meaningful portion of the Field API has been imple…

For everyone begging for the Word online addin.

Leaving a note here with hopes this hasn't fallen off the radar yet? It would be really nice if this ever gets a release, as we are primarily constrained to using Google Docs but there are times whe…

And if you can't use those installation methods, I'm afraid there's not option for CWYW; it doesn't work without the desktop app installed, neither on Google Docs nor on Word online.

@pawantr: We've been working with Microsoft for a couple years to make a plugin for Word Online possible, but we're still waiting on additional changes from them.

Word Online should have a Zotero plugin.

Does anyone know if 2026 will be the year when Word Online receives Zotero support?

There is no Word Online Zotero plugin. For the Google Docs plugin, it only works on the official google docs website. If you use Google Docs with Dropbox or somewhere else on an embedded page, it wil…
