Again, you should use the built-in annotation functionality in Zotero 6. ZotFile is no longer what you use for this.

I have added it into the zotfile zip file - took me a bit as I am using MacOS so it involved expanding the zip file, replacing the .js file and recompressing.

I will follow up on this (and the former discussion on this topic), because I still can't get my workflow to work after Zotfile was replaced. So I am hoping to find some help here.

Just to update this old thread from the Zotero 6 beta period, before Zotero 6 was released ZotFile was updated to not delete Zotero-created annotations when moving attachments, so this no longer occur

Yes, the only thing I’ve been able to figure out so far is to let Zotfile do its thing, and then just go back and manually add a stored version of the file to the record.
