You need to set it under document preferences in your word processor.

The option is for citation styles and only works when using the word processor add-on.

That's happening with the word processor add-on? It's a known issue with copy&paste that's not going to be an easy fix, but I don't think we've seen this with the Word add-on.

It's possible that copying the file in OneDrive flattens it, if it gets processed through Word Online, which doesn't work with Zotero.
