  1. Enlargement of Zotero's setup for sync between PCs

    by krasny · June 9, 2016
The only exception from default setting was the Zotfile add-on which was moving the attached pdfs to the GoogleDrive folder.

  3. Attachment base directory path update issue

    by milindr · June 8, 2016
I am using multiple collections of papers with linked files attached using ZotFile. Each collection was linked via separate relative paths - an artifact of the way I used Zotfile. The idiocy of this s
  4. Firefox memory leak and startup time

    by pprw · June 6, 2016
I switched to the standalone version. I installed my addons (Zotfile + Better Bib(La)Tex) on the standalone version.
  5. Save webpages as pdfs, not as browser pages- need offline.

    by Driftless · June 4, 2016
FYI: As a current workflow, using Zotfile extension, I do this:
  6. Are PDFs indexed with own file structure

    by dstillman · June 4, 2016
I don't know how ZotFile does things, but when you use "Link to File…" or "Attach Link to File…" in Zotero proper the files are indexed. You can see the indexing status in the right-hand pane when you
  7. Are PDFs indexed with own file structure

    by MartinFisher · June 4, 2016
I store my PDFs in a custom file structure (with folders A, B, etc.) with the help of Zotfile, rather than allowing Zotero to store them automatically. In this case does Zotero still do a full index o
  8. Cloud-friendly attachment handling

    by Heckscher · June 1, 2016
This might be relatively easy, though I'm not sure: I use Zotfile to put my files in Google Drive so I can access them on the go. The web version of Zotero works very nicely from Android, but there's
  9. PDF Reader

    by umitgunes · May 31, 2016
I setup Zotfile but it is not my demand. I would like to get a software like Adobe reader but inside in Zotero.
  10. PDF Reader

    by adamsmith · May 31, 2016
No. You can use any PDF reader you wish. ZotFile extracts annotations from almost all common PDF readers.
  11. text search "notes"!

    by Alejandro Paz · May 30, 2016
Make that one more vote for this feature! The other reason it is great is if you have "extracted annotations" note from Zotfile, it becomes really easy to click the link and go see the original text.
  12. Extraction of highlighted text from PDF using Zotfile plugin

    by adamsmith · May 29, 2016
Then, how are you trying this? Using the "extract annotations" command from Zotfile?
  13. Extraction of highlighted text from PDF using Zotfile plugin

    by ebibbee · May 29, 2016
I have successfully used Zotfile/Zotero in the past to highlight and automatically extract these highlights as notes on my Mac.
  14. Transfer Zotero Synced PDFs to Local Link?

    by adamsmith · May 28, 2016
    2. If you do want to convert stored attachments to linked files, you can use the Zotfile extension for that purpose -- www.zotfile.com
  15. Files will not save with annotations for extracted annotations

    by alliedavis · May 28, 2016
The problem still persists and I haven't been able to find any solution. I thoroughly searched the forums on Acrobat Reader DC and followed the steps suggested to change the preferences to no avail. I
  16. ad PDF-download to in-zotero-existing publictaions

    by cb102 · May 27, 2016
@fbennet The ZotFile solution is to long. What you described can be done with Zotero itself and nearly the same amount of (to much) mouse clicks.
  17. ad PDF-download to in-zotero-existing publictaions

    by fbennett · May 26, 2016
If you install ZotFile and set its "watch folder" to your browser's download directory, you can use the "Attach New File" right-click menu item to attach files (and remove them from the download direc
  18. Zotero Standalone consumes 100% of CPU even though there's no obvious syncing/activity going on

    by yajieyuan · May 25, 2016
Here this happens again when I tried to attach a file. The debug ID is: D2081477220. I thought it was because of the zotfile extension, but it also seems to happen when I removed the extension.
  19. Attached file not found, but attachment path correct (Syncing, Dropbox)

    by cjgalvin · May 23, 2016
I am using Zotero Standalone with Zotfile on a Windows desktop and Windows laptop. My institute recently discontinued its original syncing service (Owncloud) and adopted Dropbox. In order to sync acro
  20. Android app that imports what Zotero exports

    by douglasrizzom · May 19, 2016
I've just installed Zotfile. It allows me to rename all my PDF files at once just by selecting all parent items. Zotero by itself only renames PDF if you select the PDF inside the parent item. With al
