Just to add one more detail, when I open classic view, where I should have three sources (and they are in my Word document visible), I see only two sources and when I click OK, then I have only two so

I am working on my doctoral thesis and have a Word document with many citations.

Zotero worked fine until recently but now when I try to add a footnote and bibliography reference [Chicago 17th Full Note] it gives me an error message. I tried all the troubleshooting steps but noth

Under the “File” Tab, I see “New Item,” “New Collection,” and “New Library.” But none of them allows you to create a new file like EndNote or MS Word does.

Yes, that's exactly right. This is currently the situation in both Zotero 6 and 7. And this definitely happened—speaking specifically about Zotero 7—after I made the adjustments in my Word document. T
