When using the official Android version of Zotero on an Android tablet, ​incompatibility issues occur in landscape mode.

Using Zotero on android, phone is set to dark UI, but the notes interface is still white.

As noted in the issue, this was a bug in the Android version of the PDF framework we use on Android and iOS, but they've since addressed it, so we should be able to fix this soon.

The desktop 'storage' folder is not usable from the Android app, correct. Nothing to do with external files — they're just totally different apps with different architectures.

I generally like to use my android phone as a storage device, instead of using a cloud server.

Phones and tablets running HarmonyOS 4.0 cannot open the Android version of Zotero.

In the future, we'll be looking into creating a proper Zotero Connector on Android — at least for the browsers where we can, like Firefox — and that could allow it to take advantage of in-browser prox

Yesterday I started using the Zotero Android app on my tablet. It is a very well desinged app, which will certainly help me a lot by facilitating my reading and annotating.

@jochym, @nocturnal_rat: What feature are you looking for, exactly? The Android app should use your system proxy settings like any other app.

Totally agree—proxy support on Android would be a huge plus. I’ve also been using the app on a pen-enabled tablet
