It is interesting. I even booted to windows, installed the latest MLZ and PDFXchange, opened and edited a file, saved it, and still does not extract "pop-up" notes. I could send file (small). m

Zotfile 3.0.3; PDFXchange 2.5 Build 212.

Ubuntu 12.04LTS with MLZ here. Only extracts "Sticky Notes."

Yeah. That's why it dawned on me that it needs to be in the word processing software, or maybe in Scrivener. It's so nice to keep each note with each proposition so that you can switch things around creating drafts; afterward, consolidate. ODF is hu…

Ah. But I have started using ODF Scan. But I use it in Scrivener and make discrete footnotes. Hmmm. If I have a paragraph of text with ODF codes run into the text (parenthetically), does it merge all of these in each paragraph into a single note? Th…

My mistake. What I want is to merge discrete FOOTNOTES into a single note. If a paragraph contains a note at the end of three different sentences, I want that merged into a single note at the end of the paragraph. And, come to think of it, that is s…

Okay, I have come to understand how to achieve consistently as final punctuation these: '.'   ';'   and    ',' How about other punctuation marks, such as '!', '?' or '--', where the comme…

Sorry for delayed response. It was l-a-t-e here. Zombification factor kicked it. It looks more like the way I wanted it. CMS still gives some freedom in this kind of content note. Other than the Ibids, the only spot that is not as I wished is "…

For example, Pitt Morse’s Herald of Salvation; Charles Grandison Finney, The Memoirs of Charles G. Finney: The Complete Restored Text, ed. Garth Rosell and Richard A. G. Dupuis (Grand Rapids, Mich.: Academie Books, 1989), 33n24, 35n30, Warren Skinne…

Finney, Memoirs: Complete Restored Text, 33n24, 35n30. [first entry in the cite]. I just noticed no punctuation before the Ibids, but that might be my mistahe--have to check. Its not the Ibids, but the ".," and the ".;" that I am interested in at th…

PDFXChange. I've posted elsewhere/previously, but in PDFXChange, if you highlight something, then right-click, the application creates a Pop-Up Note. (Everything I work with is PDF text as image, not text as text, BTW). Is there any possibility of m…

Just checking back for any news on adjacent citation merge.

Okay. Thanks!

Can we know anything about when it will be handled? Helps our planning. Thx, Mark

Maybe a conditional like: IF suffix field empty THEN cancel final punctuation. Where would that code need to go? Could users have a checkbox: Omit final punctuation if suffix field not empty? Y/N

I'd hate to mod the style in a way that would require custom database entry. That would be a headache if switching to other styles, I would think. Here's an example: 12. For example, Pitt Morse's Herald of Salvation; Finney, Memoirs: Complete R…

Okay. Thanks so much!

No. When I click the link-breaker, beside the cog, so that I can put on the finishing touches outside Zotero, I am losing my title formatting, etc. My "workaround" above does seem to work.
-
What I have done as a workaround is to disable zotero in firefox while I finish off editing and printing the document. Will the document "behave" while I do this (assuming that it will wipe out any corrections in the notes when I do re-enable and re…

Well thanks for your help. It will get better as we go, I am sure. m

Type some text in the center pane. Place the cursor where you want the note, Select Format | Footnote. A frame should appear in the right-hand third of the application window. Type note. Footnote/Endnote preference is specified at at compile. …

Scrivener's export to ODF, at least in Windows/Linux, does not support footnotes. Endnotes are not an option in my case. Hence, from Scrivener, I export as RTF with footnotes. Then I run that export through LibreOffice, saving as ODF. Then I run th…

It's just a niggle, not worth following up in this case. If I really wanted the supervisor to show as editor, I could probably use another item type, or just manually alter it. It's rare to need it in my situation.
-
Ah. Making a lot of mistakes this evening. I discovered that the error ( I think) was pushing out the rtf from scrivener as endnotes instead of footnotes.
-
Ah! It's manuscript. I have not done many of these, so I'm guessing that my cry is a false alarm. In this case, the ms. was supervised by one and written by others. That's why I was looking for the editor option.

Two Cents. Make it so that any title in the center panel will relate to any other item at the title level when dragged on top of it. Create a similar note-level-to-note-level function, as neither of these actions currently performs a function. …

I figured it out: Books and Essays Journal Articles Dissertations Other Duh. Where do you adjust the sort specs?

Thank you!

Okay, here's what I figured out: If form = {citation}{citation}, output = Citation; Citation. If form = {citation} {citation}, output = Citation. Citation. That works for me; but will that syntax/output combination remain static? A th…

I did not notice bad output yesterday or the day before. I wonder if it's me, of if something changed. I did upgrade to LibreOffice 4.1. I wonder if that did it.
