Interesting thread. I like the feature too, and use it a lot, but sometimes it's a bit distracting also. It sure is necessary to hover the text do open the pop-up, but, well, if I want to highlight one part of the text, the cursor needs to me moved…

I have been missing this feature too. Sometimes this is the only place where one can find a clue about the date of a document. Since Zotero is based on Firefox, this should not be complex to implement.

Great news! The app in my PC got a bit sluggish during the upgrade process, but it didn't take much time (no more than 10 min, I think).
