I have not used Zotero or firefox since 35 released as I wanted to wait for the bugs to be ironed out. Is it safe for a MAC 10.5 user to start using Zotero again or are there a few fixes yet to be released?

Anadk - I have office 2008 on two macs (10.4 and 10.5 OS) and I have not had stability problems, indeed I find that Office works fine on Mac. You may have some other issues on your computer.

Very odd, sometimes it syncs and sometimes it does not. About one hour ago it synced and then now it wont and when I use my other computer - I get a sync error message. Problem seems to be at server end? Is there a way to formally document the error?

Dan, you also seem to have mended the sync issue (unless it was a one off problem on my MAC) successfully. Regrets that now the pulling off citation details from the browser on EBSCO searches works only occasionally - we'll get there eventually.

Yes realised that from others' comments. I will wait for further developments both from Zotero and from Apple's mobile me service - ultimately it will provide the useful backup - some upgrade in the future!

Possible - if that is your only MAC it might be a compelling reason to upgrade. 10.5 is a worthwhile upgrade - and Snow Leapard looks great (but you need an Intel based Mac)
