But basically from your July 18th comment above, you will be automating it in the future? I hope the team does try, as there are many anthropologists out there who use this style. It would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

So I see this thread is here, and that you all have been having issues implementing a style change for the AAA style since 2008 or so. The above is a bit technical. Can someone summarize how I can use AAA within Zotero, in order to get the proper …

I have to agree with @ademoor. I had to search to find out why there was no webpage type in the drop down menu. It does not seem to be an intuitive solution.

Thanks, this is helpful. I will let you know as I experiment, how it goes..

Hmm... can you both explain the -p switch thing/ -profilemanager argument for windows? I have never done that. I assume start, search box, then some sort of dialogue as mentioned above? I generally use Chrome, and have never used profiles on Firefo…

I basically mean that there is a lot of prep work involved to make it go right. As far as separating all of the exports from Procite into specific workforms so you can check on what is happening on a macro scale to records of similar types... and th…

Yep it worked well. Thanks everyone! I have all of the citations into Zotero now, and it seems to be working well. I will let you know if anything crops up, but I think it is all looking pretty good! Thanks Aurimas! I know this will really help al…

There are not very many PDFs attached to the records. Some things from newer imports seem to have files from the websites. But you would recommend syncing or copying the entire Zotero data directory to the other computer/account? Thanks.. EDIT:…

One question: As I move these files to a separate account, can I trust the Zotero RDF export? I figured since it would go from Zotero to Zotero, it would be fine, but the documentation page says that it is not a reliable way to back-up/transfer. …

Thanks for the clarifications Adam and Aurimas. Well thank god for you both helping us get out of ProCite. It would have been almost impossible to do otherwise with such a large database with so many workforms. ProCite in general sounds like it is a…

This should be fairly standard. I figured it might just be a missing bit of code. The authors are entered the same as elsewhere in the database: see here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19141190/bookshortform.png They are simply not importing as separate…

Just wanted to make sure, since I posted several times, did you see the error above? It seems that workform "Book Short Form" is not importing multiple authors correctly. See screenshot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19141190/error with multauthors sla…

Thanks! That works great so far. The book chapters do seem to be #4 = NOT EMPTY. I am still checking, but I think this may have solved the larger part of my problems. :)
-
Also, do you have any good suggestions for how to sort the book long form workform? I am trying to separate those things that should be book chapters, from books. Otherwise they don't get cited/imported correctly. i.e. instead of a title and book ti…

Thanks very much Adam. I appreciate it!

Hello again, back from a little break. Hope you've been doing well. I found a bit of an error: It seems that workform "Book Short Form" is not importing multiple authors correctly. See screenshot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19141190/error with multa…

great thanks, Aurimas. :)

"Collection Title" in Procite's "manuscript" workform are still not transferring to notes. This is a really serious problem, as that helps you find the manuscript. It's odd that Zotero doesn't have a field for this under manuscripts. If you could se…

One suggestion "Document Type (35):" in ProCite's "Manuscript" workform, should map to the "Type" field in Zotero. It currently only goes to notes. example: TY - MANSCPT N1 - Record Number: 2837 A1 - Bogan, Michael A. T1 - Spiro Textile Analysi…

Oh now that works! maybe something went wrong when I downloaded it the first time. Fancy with the tag! *some fields not mapped* I like it. :) Thanks very much Aurimas! I am going to try again with the books now, so I'll likely post again soon...

Ok will do first thing tomorrow.. out for the night. Have a good evening, Aurimas!

Yes, same link as above right? Want me to try one more time?

Problems with Conference Paper type: a. proceeding title does not map. goes into notes. TY - CONF N1 - Record Number: 330 A1 - Allard, Francis T1 - Investigating the Bronze Age of Khanuy Valley, Central Mongolia N1 - Connective Phrase: In A…

Manuscript doesn't have an editor type. The choices are author, contributor, translator. This will likely be addressed in the new Zotero release. Ah yes sorry... so hard to keep which fields have what straight. Sorry about that. Same here, though w…

Is adding the field "Pages" for Item type, "Document" also included in the updates? I looked at the list you linked to, and only saw that request under "letter".

yeah, something might have broken the editor mapping, because when I re-imported some files after the new Procite.js above, some books also failed to have author map to editor, when the author role stated editor or editors. It did work with the same…

Thanks Aurimas! I am noticing there is still a problem in the manuscript records with transferring author role to editor. Is that a quick fix? Author role did go into notes.. TY - MANSCPT N1 - Record Number: 2400 A1 - Bender, Barbara A1 - Gled…

Can we also please make sure that connective phrase transfers into notes for dissertations? Obviously poor data entry on someone's part, but there are occasionally important fields there in this database. TY - THES N1 - Record Number: 13603 A1 …

Well in the U.S.A. in many disciplines, Dissertations are for PhD, and Thesis are for Masters. This is not *always* true, however you would need to include which on it was in a citation. Therefore, especially if there were a field [EDIT: I suppose…

I am testing the last few workforms right now, but here is what I have as an error log. It is complete for the past few days as far as I can tell, though I didn't go back and look at all the posts. Hope this helps. I uploaded the document, since i…
