Confirmed a similar pattern of reproducing recently. Zotero Connector fails to generate snapshots every time after my Windows PC restores from a sleep.

Yes, turn off the Connector then turn it back on (and reload the page), then the snapshots (which the Connector previously failed to save) can be saved successfully.

In my scenario I can select text (selecting words is not so easy, though), and CTRL+C works. Maybe there is another program in your system that has registered CTRL+C for other purposes?
