• Thanks for the quick reply. I am not sure what the problem was but I solved it by following advice in https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/debugging_broken_documents A fresh cut and paste copy of the document does not have this problem.

• Where is the fix? It uses 100% CPU when doing nothing (using Libre Office on Ubuntu). Massively frustrating.
