• [SOLVED] By mere luck, i found the culprit. For some reason, it is the firewall. My rules allowed only outgoing connections, if I enable all, it works. I really do not know why, but it works. Thanks for your efforts adamsmith

• The latest - 4.0.17 for the standalone and 4.0.17.1 for Firefox I should also mention that i am using windows 8.1 64
