Looks good, thanks!

Stand-alone notes seem fine, but I have yet to find any of my notes that are attached to items.
-
Ok, I am definitely missing at least some of my notes on items. (I can't check them all with a library like mine.) Tried logging out and back in again just to be sure. Additional thought on collections: I love the tweak in Zotero to display the…

Not sure why, but I'm not having problems any longer.

In case it helps, I have problem ID number 1434428697

For a while the error switched to "empty response from server" but now it's back to "invalid response from server"

@dbot If you have item A (a note of your own invention, another item, whatever) and it is refuted by B, then you would simply need a relationship of "B refutes A" The list of relations for A and for B would then both include "B refutes A" …

Just to be clear, Ibid (same as previous) and generic repeats (cited before, but not the same as the previous citation) will need work. Thanks!

Do you have files attached to any of your references? I had a problem with a hung re-export with attached files... see http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/83/exporting-library-to-zotero-rdf-with-files/
-
Or could Zotero do something clever to determine this based on whether there are "Authors" or "Editors" assigned to the book? -EDIT- And what's the current behavior? I'll have to check that out...

"Also, might I respectfully suggest that you have an easier way to report bugs?" I second the suggestion. I'd love to see a bug tracker for bugs, and have "Troubleshooting" in the forums be for just that, troubleshooting. I'd love to see Trac, …

Sean: The PDF "Snapshot" doesn't work right for me (at least from JSTOR). Adobe Reader throws "File does not begin with '%PDF-'." when I try to open one. The link to the snapshot's original works just fine, of course.
-
Allow me to correct myself: I first follow the "article information" link, then click on the title of the article again. Then Zotero detects it.
-
Jstor seems inconsistent. Certain views work, others don't. I usually follow the "article information" link (or something like that) to get Zotero to detect the bib. info.
-
And you're using 1.0.0b2.r2?
-
I can't seem to replicate the problem.

I suppose setting up the relationships between tags would be easier than complex searches. Of course, a simple modification to the way collections work could enable this as well: make it so references in a sub-collection show up in the parent c…

I don't think there's any automatic way to do it, but would it work if you sorted by date added (to display the field, click the field selector dropdown on the far right of the middle pane) and then selected all the references added since your last …

I've noticed this as well. It seems to only affect the display in Zotero, bibliographies only list the author as the author, and translators as translators.

So, seeing "ERROR_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS" I decided to try a completely new file name/location for my export, and it worked fine, files and everything. In case it helps, here's the sequence of events: Exported without files: file (no extension) …

An error did indeed occur: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520008 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS) [nsILocalFile.create]" nsresult: "0x80520008 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS)" location: "JS frame :…

Hmm, I just looked and it turns out you don't NEED references associated with your files. Just click the green and white "+" and choose store copy of a file. However, doing it this way means you won't be able to store author/title/publication info a…
-
Zotero can store files as "attachments" to references. In my own library, I've created several journal article items, then for each gone to the "attachments" tab and chosen "store copy of a file," which moves the file to the Zotero directory for saf…

I can't claim to know why you're having problems, but you might want to try creating a new Firefox profile (http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile#new) to see if that helps. Edit: Never mind, somebody who knows what they're talking abou…

Dan, Thanks, I didn't notice that... may come in handy :)

I'm not sure of the value of hierarchical tags. What I would like to see, however, is hierarchical saved searches, which one could also use to similar effect. For example, a top-level saved search that finds all records tagged "Primary Document", an…

I'd also love to see a way to "fill in the blanks" for incomplete records.

Sections and versions (incl. translations and reprints) are obvious and make sense. As for the other examples, those seem a little different since I doubt there would actually be a "parent" record of just the conference, but rather just a bunch of p…

bdarcus: The way I see it, there are really two issues here: duplication of data entry and duplication of data in the database. Duplication of data entry is, I think, more important in the end because it more directly affects users. However, avoid…
