I vaguely remember there being an option for it in config editor in advanced tab. But I may be confusing it with some other setting. Will check that out and edit here asap.

I always recommend the officialy provided options for such migrations. If something breaks, you have the official support to figure that out. But if you go the other way, you are mostly on your own.
