@dstillman good point; I'll use the following workflow: 1. import the data and files of the group library into my library and then, 2. delete the file (not the data) in the group library. Many thanks! :)

@dstillman thanks for your answer. "can't sync files selectively" --> I understand it is impossible then :/ the point was to keep the data available for all group members while allowing each member to choose to upload/sync or not the attached pdf…
