It might be possible with a custom citation style, but I couldn't find the mapping of the rights-field in the Citation Style Language, which would be needed for this to work.
-
Middle names are allowed, but they should be consistent over different items for the same author. As for a different style: you probably still would like to use Harvard, so the easiest way might be to delete a few lines in the Harvard style and ins…

I think StephenHero's post above is about as complete an answer as you can get. The issue can be solved by either making sure that authors are spelled exactly the same across different items, or by changing your citation style so that it doesn't try…

For noksagt's third point, this might be of some interest: http://www.zotero.org/blog/publish-zotero-collections-online-with-zotz/ I don't think a lot of website visitors will be interested in going through a whole list of 1500 references, so a wa…

I think the problem with PLoS Medicine can be fixed by transferring this journal from the "PLoS Biology and Medicine" to the "PLoS Journals" translator. PLoS Biology clearly differs visually from the other PLoS sites, so I'd guess PLoS Medicine has …

I see that you're right. I must have been dreaming too much of electric sheep.

The translator has been modified (the 1.0.x branch actually just received the update 2 days ago) to first try to read out the contents of the element, and only when that doesn't give results, to try to read the contents of the element. Title abbre…

Wouldn't it make more sense to, for all locales, use a year-month-day format with leading zeros (2002-04-29) for all the columns with dates? That would make it much easier to scan a sorted date list.
-
It's not yet possible to tell a style to use either 2011-78 or 2011-2078, so you'd have to get it right in your library. The CSL developers are aware of the issue, but there doesn't seem to be a straightforward fix.
-
Adding styles to the style repository can indeed be a bit daunting. Could you paste the text of your style on this website: http://gist.github.com/, and mention the link you get on this forum? Then I'll take a look at your style.

It is the accumulation of ignored small problems that eventually creates a company culture of inward focus and entitlement.Maybe it's a good thing then that Zotero isn't produced by a company? On a more serious note, maybe it would be helpful to ha…

I think this still applies: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4463/zotero-plugin-crashes-with-an-existing-document-with-references/?Focus=19170#Comment_19170

FWIW, I don't have any problems with the mouse-overs.
-
Which file format do you use to save your document?

First hit with Google (searching for "Quick Locale Switcher"): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1333

You have to put the URLs in. When generating the list of references, Zotero only looks at the metadata of the cited items, and disregards any metadata of child-attachments.

As an additional nag, could the dates in the "Date" column be shown in a different format? Year-month-day (all numeric, e.g. "2002-05-28") seems more logical than "1999", "Mar 11, 2002" and "Feb 2009". P.S. I guess the problem here is that while th…

sort by "year" will still use the month and/or day (if present).Shouldn't this be changed to sort only according to the year? If people really want to sort according to date (which I'd guess would be a (small) minority), they can still do so by sort…

jhmorneau, my apologies for messing up your course. According to the log Dan made the fixed translator available about 4 hours ago. On how to get the update, see the post above by mcburton: "We have fixed this translator issue. Your copy of Zotero s…

but I mean a utility that would copy your entire zotero folder - files, translators, everything - and maybe create a zip file wherever you'd like. For Windows there is MozBackup.

(1) If you are referring to sorting in the middle column of Zotero: no, I don't think so. (2) I don't think so. If I'm correct all authors are seen as an unordered list.

(blushing) I narrowed it down to the pagination patch I submitted earlier. I think I know what's the problem: for (var j in pageRange) { var pageRangeStart = pageRange[j].match(/^\d+/)[0]; var pageRangeEnd = pageRange[j].match(/\d+$/)[0]; if (pag…

Note that support for sentence case in Zotero is (still) limited: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/5464/apa-citation-style-capitalization/?Focus=28834#Comment_28834 The safest option for now is to (semi-manually) change the titles in your Zotero…

My bad. Sorry to add to the confusion.

Zotero: Research from A to Z. Zotero: Open source, open minded. Zotero: Sharp as a fox. Zotero: Fueled by knowledge.

Many of the citation styles available for Zotero lack formatting instructions for conference papers (or at least conference papers get incorrectly formatted), mostly because these sources aren't by far as common as journal articles and books. If you…

Which style are you using? Note to self: https://www.zotero.org/trac/browser/extension/trunk/chrome/content/zotero/xpcom/csl.js#L1789 seems to describe the relevant variable name: "event":["meetingName", "conferenceName"]

The easiest way is probably to post your comments to the Babelzilla forum thread dedicated to Zotero: http://www.babelzilla.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=2328
