@adamsmith: are you sure that Zotero/citeproc-js cannot parse shortened page ranges, and reformat them to an expanded range? (see http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#page-ranges )

Can you drag the Group Library to My Library? Also, make sure to ignore my previous advice.
-
(edit:this only works for collections within a library): Just right-click the collection in the left column and select "Remove Collection...". The items will still be present in My Library. Edit: oops, you want to move entire libraries. Have no exp…

You could use tags. http://www.zotero.org/support/tags

Your repo is currently a private one.

In designing the CSL support for name particles we had many of the same issues. Information about how name particles work was obtained in bits and scraps from the internet, and from our own (local) knowledge. Article databases are often not curated …

You're not bothering us. We appreciate every style contribution (so thanks! :) ), and we always try to make the instructions clearer. As for listing the author of the original style as a contributor in the derived style, I think that that is superf…

Also, you use cs:link twice with "rel" set to "self". For the second use, "rel" should be set to "documentation" (and the URL should probably be http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayMoreInfo?jid=GEO&type=ifc instead of http://journals.cam…

"generic-base" is used for styles that aren't specific to any particular field of study. For this style, you can use "geology" (see http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#categories ). Also, you use an XML processing instruction, wh…

The CSL processor will have to parse these HTML-like tags anyway, so requiring that it also parses the tags when they occur in term definitions (or in the value of "value" in cs:text) doesn't seem that awkward.

See also https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/issues/33 The problem with implementing this is there are a lot of possible identifiers, so we'd like to come up with a solution that would be flexible. But as PMID and PMCID are so prevale…

This might be of interest as an example of how to handle FOSS bounties: http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/news/2011-05-02-foss_factory.html

Does the following work? https://gist.github.com/983548 edit: the formatting you're describing is superscript, not upper case.

The translations for citations/bibliographies also can use some help for Czech (cs-CZ): https://github.com/citation-style-language/locales/wiki

Are you referring to the translation of the Zotero interface, or to the translations used for citations and bibliographies? See also http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/localization

From the page I linked to: CSL 0.8.1 and 1.0 styles can be easily distinguished by looking at the cs:style element at the top of the style. CSL 1.0 styles include a version attribute on this element with a value of “1.0”, e.g. ””. CSL 0.8.1 styles l…

You're mixing up CSL 0.8.1 and 1.0. See http://www.zotero.org/styles/mhra for an example of redefining terms in a CSL 0.8.1 style, and take a look at http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles.

@Gracile: a few posts above you write: I was desperate to get this output: "Belou (Pierre du)" "La Fontaine (Jean de)" Do you need the parentheses, or did you just add these to clarify the point? CSL 1.0 doesn't allow affixes to be set on cs:name-pa…

1) make sure your style is CSL 1.0 (see http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles ) 2) while it is not uncommon for different name variables to be rendered differently within a bibliography, we assumed that the "initialize-with-hyphen" sett…

Sorry, fixed now. (for the developers: it's a bit strange that http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/start/localization?do=backlink didn't list any pages calling the page)

If the entire book title is italicized via the CSL style, any parts of the title that have italics markup will automatically flip back to standard font.
-
1) You have to enclose your CSL code (or any HTML/XML tags you want to show in your post) in and tags. 2) You seem to have stumbled on a bug. The culprit is the cs:substitute block in the contributors macro, which somehow messes with the name ini…

@fbennett: you're correct. The dev section (IMHO) can still use ssome new content, but the reorganization is pretty much complete. We've recently started looking at how to reorganize the user support section of the wiki.
-
To fully define structured names, you'd need 5 fields (given, dropping particle, non-dropping particle, family and suffix).

Non-dropping particles are also (much) more common than the dropping ones.

1) I still don't see the benefit of excluding the "Web Page" item type from the "New Item" drop-down menu. I would just include it, and, like for the other item types, have it create an item without metadata. Say you want to copy web page metadata f…

As a question to the developers, is there any particular reason for not including an option to delete your account in the online Zotero profile settings pages?
