You might also want to try removing the escaped ">" ("& gt;", without the space) from the first author's name. Joyce Chia& gt;

It looks like you have been modifying a CSL 0.8.1 style (you would have that older version on your computer if you used Zotero prior to version 2.1). The easiest solution is to start from the CSL 1.0 version, which you can find in the style reposito…

Your style isn't valid CSL (http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles#validation), which might very well explain the problem. The error is the following section: (cs:layout is only allowed as a direct child element of cs:citation o…

24) It's rather confusing to have "Publication" and "Journal Abbr" as fields for journal articles. As with (23), it would make sense to group these together, and rename them for consistently, e.g. "Journal" and "Journal Abbr".

22) With Word 2003 and Zotero Standalone 3.0b2.1, the cursor in the citation dialog disappears when I select an item from the results list with the mouse. I can only get it back by pressing the Tab key, which seems like an unnecessary step.

It would be useful if you could supply us with some (online) documentation about how projects are exactly cited. Do you know if there are any guides online that give requirements on how projects should be cited? Alternatively, do you know where we c…

19) When using the new citation dialog for Word (with Zotero Standalone 3.0b2.1), searching for "author-name year" and "year" filters correctly, but "year author-name" (e.g. "2007 Abbott") doesn't give any results.

Did you install PythonExt from http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_installation_for_zotero_2.1#microsoft_word ?

If your boss does edit the citations by hand, those changes will be lost as soon as Zotero refreshes the citations in the document, so bdarcus' warning is relevant. (and adamsmith and I didn't mean to criticize your tone; but short answers are comm…

Also, in my own experience writing academic papers, I would always send my Zotero-formatted papers to my professor for review. He would edit the text, and if he wanted references to be changed, he would indicate that by adding a comment, either on a…

See http://www.wipo.int/export/sites/www/standards/en/pdf/07-02-02.pdf, especially table II, which deals with published patents. In short, it's a bit of a mess.

You can probably fix this by unchecking the "Use Zotero for downloaded RIS/Refer files" preference in Zotero: http://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/general

Big +1. :)

I just realized I could just look at the HTML. :P Apparently the period is the problem, as the automatically generated anchor is "#upgrading_from_zotero_10". This used to be "#upgrading_from_zotero_1.0", so quite a few internal links are now broken.

Your style doesn't validate: http://validator.nu/?doc=https://raw.github.com/gist/1281211/31126138ab660d6d2f0a8ef79ff790f31c3cca8c/ulg-histoire&schema=https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/v1.0/csl.rnc&parser=xml&laxtype…

Is the FH Vorarlberg style used university-wide? If it is of general interest, we can also host the CSL style at www.zotero.org/styles.

I'll try to get "container-title-short" into CSL 1.0.1 : https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/issues/2#issuecomment-2354532

Just noting here as well that the AGU CSL style now sorts bibliographic entries correctly: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2972/#Item_25
-
I recently noticed that AGU style still didn't sort as required by AGU, even though this already has been possible for a while (since CSL 1.0 and Zotero 2.1). The newest version should sort correctly. See also https://github.com/citation-style-lang…

It's probably the line-spacing="0" on cs:bibliography that is giving the problems. Try removing this attribute or using a value of one or higher.

It should be: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4639/new-sort-scheme-for-bibliographies/?Focus=65634#Comment_65634 http://citationstyles.org/downloads/upgrade-notes.html#sorting I just noticed that the AGU CSL style doesn't actually use this more…

In my discipline (management & information systems) or my wife's discipline (psychology), I have not seen a single published article where the name disambiguation was used. If you provide any evidence that a style doesn't use name disambiguation…

Also, wouldn't this be difficult to automate? Some people go by a given name that is not their first, in which case only expanding the first given name is awkward.

It does. See the references at http://www.bioone.org/doi/abs/10.2980/16-4-3254 and http://www.bioone.org/doi/abs/10.2980/17-4-3372 (e.g. the Belgium names "De Meester, L." and "De Langhe, J. E." are sorted on "D"). I'll make the change.
