Just fill in your account details and sync. Items on zotero.org are only deleted when you delete them on your computer and sync. Since you're starting out with an empty library that's not the case.
-
Try the new version from the style repository (this sorting behavior is the same as for the American Geophysical Union style).
-
@Dan Stillman, yes. For future reference, the next version of the CSL specification will address this as well. Relevant section in the trunk copy of the spec: http://goo.gl/jTBNn

I created a Knowledge Base entry as this question might come up again (adamsmith, feel free to improve on it). http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/preventing_title_casing_for_non-english_titles

The rules are specified on page 72 of the PDF http://www.mhra.org.uk/Publications/Books/StyleGuide/StyleGuideV2_3.pdf I can't think of how to improve things with CSL 1.0. Basically we'd need a way to determine if works by the same author have been …

http://psycnet.apa.org/psycinfo/1939-00056-000 failed for me once, but saved on the second and third try (Google Chrome, Zotero Standalone 3.0.3). Not sure what was going on (pretty sure the page had completed loaded).

I updated the style to remove the comma separating the first author's last name and initials. Apparently the style changed recently in this respect, as the comma is printed in all my own AEM papers. Reinstalling the style from http://www.zotero.org/…

Frank Bennett (who wrote the CSL citeproc-js processor) worked on a related topic, support for institutional names: http://gsl-nagoya-u.net/http/pub/citeproc-js-csl.html#institution-names-multilingual Implementing an "author address" field gets tri…

Dan, maybe you could just have http://www.zotero.org/translators/ redirect to http://www.zotero.org/support/translators ? Then Avram/Sebastian/others can reorganize the latter page and link to the translator status page.
-
I think the main resistance against variable content testing is that we don't want styles that specify strings to test against, since this typically would localize poorly and wouldn't be very robust. Maybe Bruce can chime in here with his opinion. …

My guess: RöFo http://roefo.thieme.de/uber-die-rofo1

At the moment, neither Zotero or CSL distinguishes between main title and subtitle, so this currently can't be coded in a CSL style.
-
I changed this in the CSL locale, which eventually will make it into future Zotero releases: https://github.com/citation-style-language/locales/commit/6bd65fce40ace908401d05a53e2405751c03b709

@afonsodasilva, thanks. Just a small request: when you make any future updates, could you start from the most recent version available at https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/oscola.csl ? I've made some small changes to the …

I just came across a new tool to parse formatted bibliographies, Ref2RIS: http://journal.code4lib.org/articles/6286

In any case, you can always use the full-size ones and let the browser rescale them (http://www.dokuwiki.org/syntax#images_and_other_files). That would make it easier for nefarious individuals like myself to change the scaling factor to our liking. …
-
@adamsmith, wouldn't the instructions be clearer if you used your screenshots at 100%?
-
@adamsmith, why is that a problem? The spec trunk currently reads: "If default-locale is set to a locale code with a primary language tag other than "en", items are assumed to be non-English. An item is only considered to be English if the value of…
-
I think most people in the natural sciences don't necessarily need guidance on the language field. The vast majority of their literature is in English.
-
Note that Frank's implementation also has an exception for styles with a non-English default-locale value. Relevant excerpt from the trunk CSL spec: http://rst.projectfondue.com/api/v1/rst2html/?rst_url=https://raw.github.com/citation-style-languag…
-
You can just save the CSL style with a *.txt extension and then change it by hand to a *.csl one.
-
Anyway, now the locale file is ready to be delivered. What command should I use to commit it to the CSL locale repository? The instructions for locale files are the same as for styles: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Submittin…

Your Molecular Ecology style doesn't validate. See http://validator.nu/?doc=https://raw.github.com/gist/1807827/a9c820b59662cbee81b0e53c91198e2c356412aa/molecular-ecology.csl&schema=https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/v1.0/csl…

Added (the ISSNs weren't updated): https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/680c56a0a7a8fe1d52aaf934f215d619d688fe39 This style is different than the one for the Small journal, right?
-
I updated the style, thanks. https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/933e9d5c54f4c4729f7513c43b07222ee3d517b1 I just added back the ISSN you removed, and switched back the original author to author instead of contributor.

In my case it saves both.

NCBI Pubmed doesn't host any full-text papers (Pubmed Central does, but that's a different site).

I know that it's not Zotero 3.0-specific, but I've merged and partially rewritten http://www.zotero.org/support/collections and http://www.zotero.org/support/tags. Every now and then discussions pop up about the benefits of each, so it seemed sensi…

@simifilm, are you downloading the styles by clicking the "raw" link and saving them with a *.csl extension?
