The Connector will offer to install styles if they're served with the "application/vnd.citationstyles.style+xml" (or older "text/x-csl") Content-Type header. On this front, we recently made some changes so that .csl files hosted on GitHub Pages shou…

Just accepted the updated style into the repository.

Okay, you're now a "reviewer" instead of a "translator". I think that should allow you to edit reviewed translations (per https://docs.transifex.com/teams/understanding-user-roles).
-
@plr271, I just changed the translation. You really couldn't edit the existing translation?
-
@plr271, did you just request to be added to the Dutch translation team of Zotero (user " B L (Bliksemafleider)")? If so, I just added you to the team, so you can fix this yourself. Otherwise I can make the correction.

Actually, the style will be available at https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:natures-sciences-societes (there initially was a small typo in the style file name).
-
"American Psychological Association 6th edition (Werkgroup APA) (Dutch)", probably, with "apa-nl" or "apa-nl-werkgroup-apa" as style ID. That would be most consistent with https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:apa-fr-provost.

In terms of the language, doable for sure. What's the best way of doing this, bwiernik and Adam? Not currently doable, unless you (ab)use something like the "note" variable. (it's not trivial to support, since we'd want to store the item language as…

(would it be good to announce on Twitter from the Zotero account that this issue exists? That might allow some people to disable/delay their Word updates until this has been fixed and let them avoid any downtime)
-
See https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/69901/extend-two-year for related discussion.
-
Thanks both. And for attachments, I should generally be safe to close the tab once the attachment name shows up in grey in the progress window? It's fine if I miss the notification of a failed attachment save.
-
Confirmed and changed (https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/a5655dcd2335ba1e83ea88336c3369addc16d37c), thanks. It may take up to a day for Zotero to auto-update the style if you already have it installed.
-
@Didem95, can you also tell us which program you used to clean your Mac? It would be good if we knew which programs cause these kind of issues.
-
I don't think so, but nowadays Zotero File Storage subscriptions automatically adjust their expiration data based on the cost of the selected storage tier and the remaining prorated balance. So you could pay for a higher storage tier than you need …

my 2gb paid storage is nearly full and it feels a bit wrong to pay an extra $40 for more when I've a terrabyte to fill up on Dropbox. I don't know how the economics of that works for you guys (you clearly don't have the scale advantage of Dropbox), …
-
(this is particularly bad, btw. on your specific setup, i.e. Zotero with Word for Mac 2011) Has anybody ever done any benchmarking? With some numbers in hand, people might be better able to make decisions on whether switching to a different version …
-
@dstillman, could you either make https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_installation editable for regular users, or add a link to the system requirements page (https://www.zotero.org/support/system_requirements#word_processor_plugins)…
-
Zotero 5.0 requires LibreOffice 5.2 or newer, and OpenOffice is no longer supported (see https://www.zotero.org/support/system_requirements#libreoffice).
-
One more forum feature request: it would be awesome if people could write their posts in markdown (most markdown is much more compact than HTML tags, e.g. `Hello World` instead of Hello World, and > I think that ... instead of I think that ...). …
-
is there anyway to force it in my own Zotero installed in my PC? It's rather complicated to replace CSL locale files in Zotero, so it's better to wait until we can accept your proposed changes on GitHub. Note that you can add parts of a locale file …

Actually, see https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Requesting-Styles
-
We'd have to see the style code. If you copy-paste the style at https://gist.github.com/, create a private "gist", and share the URL of the gist here, we can take a look.

This translation is defined at https://github.com/citation-style-language/locales/blob/b5f4b87d7693f69a5697fc21e1b2b31dc6dc39b6/locales-ar.xml#L255 and https://github.com/citation-style-language/locales/blob/b5f4b87d7693f69a5697fc21e1b2b31dc6dc39b6/…

@bwiernik: It would be nice if there were an option to insert the currently selected item from the client into the citation. ... @dstillman: I think what @bwiernik suggests makes more sense for that. @dstillman, works for me. Can I convince you to o…
-
@NMonteix, we haven't come to agreement yet to how to best implement per-item style localization in official CSL, so there isn't a clear ETA. That said, assuming Zotero allows you to install an invalid style, you might be able to use a non-official…

Meanwhile, the revised processor (which will handle the singleton correctly) @fbennett, I just came across this case the other day: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/e88beb8b8e106ea7a14a464cd1c0e5de88425506/colorado-state-univer…

Word 2016 for Mac version 15.12.3 is from July 2015, and there have been many bug fixes since then, so you should just get the free update to the latest version. If Word for Mac 2016 fails to auto-update, you can also fix auto-updating by installin…

I didn't see a sign of the parent style and when I tried to use it I got the error that the style wasn't valid. Well, normally if you install a dependent style in Zotero you don't see the parent style at all. That's all hidden from the user. We mig…

The style file from http://library.wu.ac.at/litverw/csl/wirtschaftsuniversitat-wien-institute-for-managing-sustainability.csl doesn't fetch its parent style after installing in Zotero. There's no error but the scrollbar keeps blinking. Coming back t…

And I did so only after checking that the parent style’s renaming has successfully made it to the repo. Well, Zotero does not use the CSL repository directly, so I would retry this after at least 24 hours. They might still have the old copy.
