@drimd, Try downloading the style from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/citation-style-language/styles/master/journal-of-shoulder-and-elbow-surgery.csl .
-
For the number of pages, yes, that's a current limitation of Zotero that will be fixed in the future (see https://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/issues/29 for related discussion). For the editor problem, I don't really understand what the problem is…
-
If you share your style via https://gist.github.com/ we can take a look to identify what's going wrong.
-
Done: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/0c4c549a7e6490a660a540f46e507c6bebb7c107 Thanks!
-
@FrancoisC, you nested a cs:name element within another cs:name element, which isn't valid CSL: ↩ ↩ ↩ ↩ You can just remove the nested cs:name element, and copy the et-al attributes to the remaining cs:name element.

Thanks!
-
Which URL are you trying to save from?
-
Probably https://www.zotero.org/styles/spanish-legal?source=1
-
Just the staff Zotero developers.
-
Yup :).
-
Names of natural persons should typically be entered in the two-field format. The one-field format is mostly meant for institutions, like "National Institutes of Health", that don't have a last name to sort on.
-
Good catch :). Try changing to on line 159 ( https://gist.github.com/anonymous/415466230db3b500f982#file-gistfile1-txt-L159 ).
-
Are you using the latest version of Zotero (4.0.21.2)? Can you try saving the book from http://www.worldcat.org/title/moby-dick/oclc/47010459&referer=brief_results , and change Tony Tanner to the editor role?
-
Is the name "A. J. Bebbington" properly stored in the two-field format?
-
How are you testing this? With Zotero? Are you sure you're using the latest version of your style? The Zotero CSL test pane produces: Melville, H. 1998. Moby Dick [online] (Tanner, T., ed.). Oxford; New York: Oxford University Press. Available from…

That looks good. If you post the entire style to https://gist.github.com/ I'll have a look.
-
See the description of the "name-as-sort-order" attribute for the cs:name element, at http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#name
-
Which link is dead? See https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md
-
(there isn't any particular reason why the style previews couldn't show examples of in-text citations as well, right?)
-
There are even more complex cases, like "(Wong 1999a, 328; 1999b, 157; 2000, 2001)", that also involve year-suffix-delimiter. One option would be to fall back from using any custom delimiter to the delimiter set on cs:layout whenever two neighborin…

Style reverted: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/b208f74f3328b0c011c682b8bd9eb8f29480bbe2 https://github.com/citation-style-language/utilities/commit/0913908789cf9b140d13f5d9d8a235d200bde81d

Seems like I did this: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/cab766b0f10911a9af4634ca5918426a68ff58fa I'm pretty sure I checked the instructions to authors.

If you're trying to do this on the website, instead of in the desktop Zotero client, you should just click the "Create Collection" button. That will allow you to select the "Parent Collection" of the new collection.
-
My bad. I just changed the citation format from regular "Vancouver" to "Vancouver (superscript, only year in date, no issue numbers)", which should be closer to the mark. The updated version should appear on zotero.org/styles within 30 mins (check …

@miss, great! Thanks for letting us know. @Dan, could you take another look at the script for zotero.org/styles? E.g. "journal-of-tribology.csl" hasn't made it into the Zotero repo yet ( https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles-distributio…

Oh, I now see that https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/5c537192f808ef6c3e58cf3995573a02a7186196 and https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/548899b8155c57d502ae8b3913ddb5d229f14eec were combined into a single co…

Can you try downloading the style from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/citation-style-language/styles/master/pain.csl and installing it by hand? (you can install it via the Style Manager in the preferences) @Dan, it looks like https://github.com/…
-
Sorry about that. I restored the original version. Elsevier supplies us with a list of which journal uses which style, but that list is not always correct. The original version will appear on the repository within 30 mins (check the timestamp). Upd…

@Brown Biomechanics, I assume you're using multiple Zotero accounts for your lab, and that the student set up a Zotero group with file storage? One option would be to ask the former student to assign the group(s) to your personal Zotero account, and…

It's just some item metadata I came up with and massaged a little by hand. Feel free to make any type of changes.
