when I tried to add an item and I had not moved away from the Trash collection. Should Zotero not just save to My Library in this case?

Thanks!

Since the "quotes" attribute may only be used on the "text" element, try something like: with the following macro

(also, a lot of the links on that page give 404s: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~jkglenn/firefox/ http://citationmigration.gmu.edu/ http://lincolnmullen.com/archives/2009/08/how-to-create-a-work-flow-in-zotero/ http://portaildoc.chu-lyon.fr/hcldoc/…

Thanks to @aurimas and @Simon this should be fixed in the next 4.0.x release (see https://github.com/zotero/zotero/pull/559). @javimat, once you can confirm it works as advertised (you can check https://www.zotero.org/support/4.0_changelog to see i…

Try updating Zotero to the latest version (4.0.23.1, see https://www.zotero.org/support/4.0_changelog).
-
@zuphilip, did you test this with dependent styles? The case @javimat pointed out is using a dependent style with a default-locale, whose parent doesn't have a default-locale.
-
@LiborA, we brought the issue to the attention of the Zotero developers again. See https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/pull/1194#issuecomment-59778789

@caracheo, I think you're posting in the wrong place. This is the public forum.

For all I know, it's in some foreign country. That's a rather general and mildly offensive statement, by the way. But, no, Zotero isn't served from Elbonia. And it's more likely that you encounter malware on https://addons.mozilla.org/ than on https…

@aurimas, @Dan Stillman, I guess some people mistake "Zotero Scholar Citations" for "Zotero" since the latter isn't listed anymore on https://addons.mozilla.org/. Maybe it would be clearer if you asked for the plugin to be renamed? (e.g. to "Scholar…

And a .cls file is a document class file for LaTeX, so it's not even a citation style description, for which you'd be looking for a .bst file. See http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/7770/file-extensions-of-latex-related-files

You could try disabling your touch screen's input, as described here: http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-quickly-disable-touch-screen-input-in-windows-8-1/ (at your own risk) If that solves the speed issue, it would confirm the source of the problem.

@Virginie37, it's like Bitdefender goes through all your postal mail, reads every letter, and warns you if it finds any junk mail. While potentially useful, they really have no business snooping around in your mail. By intercepting your HTTPS conne…

"It's rare, but not impossible, that both odp need to appear in the citation/bibliography (eg. reprint of a collection of translated articles ?)" Is that a requirement of any citation guide?

Or have a touchscreen monitor?

@FrancoisC, there are some small problems with your new version. E.g. "consulté le" got changed to "consulté le", and we also have " n° " in , which is probably incorrect. This probably indicates some encoding problem with the text editor you've b…

FWIW, Mendeley mentions that their word processor integration has become much more speedy in the latest beta: http://www.mendeley.com/release-notes/v1_12_3-dev1/

I wonder if normalizing text case when comparing for disambiguation would be safe? That would be easy to do, if it were adopted by the CSL spec. I think that case-insensitive name matching would be usually preferred, yes.

These forums are unfortunately receiving ever more spam, and you'll get it into your inbox if you're subscribed to forum threads that spammers are posting too. Dan, is there any news on upgrading the forum software (to Vanilla 2)? The majority of p…

What happens if you enter the name as: Last Name: Sas First Name: N.C.F., van But then "van" would be treated as a dropping particle, right? Dutch particles never drop. Perhaps we should allow "text-case" on cs:name, so we can use "capitalize-firs…

See e.g. http://www.plosbiology.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pbio.0050018 for a discussion on author name order. Since the author name order matters a lot in most academic fields, the name order in references must typically exactly match th…

Actually, @adamsmith pushed out the change to the Zotero Style Repository just now, so if your style updates automatically from now on you should be good to go as well.

Some work has been done on supporting CSL in Plone, which might be of use: http://www.jazkarta.com/news/plone-for-education-bibliographies-2 and https://github.com/collective/collective.citationstyles/

@gurdas, if you're in a hurry, you can download the style at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/aurimasv/styles/JAWMA/journal-of-the-air-and-waste-management-association.csl

APA is not an endnote style (it just has in-text citations and a bibliography), so you actually wouldn't expect any remaining (Zotero-generated) endnotes after switching to the APA style. My best guess is that the two remaining endnotes weren't gen…

Your style is still in the rather old CSL 0.8.1 format. You can try upgrading your style yourself (see http://citationstyles.org/downloads/upgrade-notes.html#updating-csl-0-8-styles) to CSL 1.0. You might also want to consider taking the most recent…

In Spanish, it's more frequent to disambiguate using the second (mother) family name than the second (middle) given name. Is this always the case? I'm wondering whether people ever go by their second family name, and disambiguate with the first, ins…

@adamsmith, are these based on published style guides? My French ain't so good.

In the second one I don't have the editor macro so I use directly the variable in the bibliography If you want to show the editor name and label, you need to use the element, not . Basically you need the contents of the "editor" macro. I (quickly) …
