I got started on this, but I could use some input: https://github.com/zotero/zotero/pull/623
-
Nobody else has this issue on OS X on laptop displays? I still have the same issue on my 13" Retina display, and I don't even have the dock maximized in size: http://i.imgur.com/xtOAJuQ.png And for some reason, after I select the "General" tab, th…

Well, we use English names in our CSL style titles, so it's good to have them stored somewhere.
-
Any suggestions on how to best store both the English and language-specific language names in JSON for https://github.com/citation-style-language/locales/blob/master/locales.json ? I could just do "nl-NL": ["Dutch", "Nederlands"] or the more comp…

I recall Dan also suggested at some point to have a "most-recent" list at the top of a drop-down for locales, but I can't find the discussion. Some other related conservations I dug up: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1515/change-language-in-z…
-
Would it suffice to offer drop-down selections for the locales we have CSL locale files for (about 50)? We could have a custom option that allows users to put in a locale code instead.
-
Done. Thanks for the suggestion. See https://www.zotero.org/support/plugins?&#interface_improvements Dan, what are your thoughts on implementing something similar in Zotero itself? Should there be a ticket (I couldn't find one)? Should control …

We don't have an official policy against adding questionable journals per se if styles are submitted to us Maybe it's time to have an official policy, then. We simply shouldn't be enabling predatory publishers. If there are strong indications that a…

Zotero recently gained the feature to collapse the right-hand pane. You should be able to re-open the pane by clicking the "grippy" at the very right of the Zotero window. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Tech/XUL/Tutorial/Splitt…

My question is whether it is a good idea to make these "template" styles public once they are done and thoroughly tested. Just keep in mind that for the CSL repo, we generally only accept styles that are based on a published citation format. But the…

I don't think it's on their list.
-
... I could see something like this: 1) We set up a cron script that pulls the latest Fx version from Mozilla daily and saves it. 2) We have some PHP code that generates an appropriate HTML message based on the user agent and Zotero version header…

but unfortunately I can't find it right now. Probably this: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/42424/could-not-save-item-jstor-and-wiley-library/?Focus=206812#Comment_206812

@flamerie1, which journal do you need composite references for?
-
But it is not the journal "Obesity", it is this journal: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1002/(ISSN)1930-739X/homepage/ForAuthors.html That link links to the "Obesity" journal.
-
So for the "Obesity" journal? We have that: https://zotero.org/styles?q=obesity Note that volume numbers aren't in bold in the journal: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/oby.20821/pdf
-
Which journal? The style looks like standard Vancouver, so you can try that.
-
Can you share the style via https://gist.github.com/? Just copy and paste and give us the URL.
-
Top-right of the left column of Zotero.
-
Have you followed the instructions at https://www.zotero.org/support/styles#installing_additional_styles ? Does the downloaded file have a ".csl" extension?
-
(aurimas, I'm pretty sure APA doesn't like that link) The blog post suggests that either option is fine for APA 6th edition: "Because this change is recent and many publishers are still implementing the new CrossRef guidelines, either the old or th…

Great, thanks for checking!

@javimat, great to hear. "Elsevier Vancouver" and "Annales de Dermatologie et de Vénéréologie (French)" would be a good test case. The latter is a dependent style set to "fr-FR" (French), while the Elsevier parent is set to "en-US" (US English). A…

Just as some background, Carles Pina of Mendeley shared these statistics last year about CSL style usage (I think through their word processor plugins): 36.8% http://www.zotero.org/styles/apa 8.2% http://www.zotero.org/styles/ieee 7.4% http://www.z…

@adamsmith, might be doable with a dokuwiki plugin, like https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:fields.
-
FWIW, there is a long and complicated discussion about harvard7de.csl at https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/issues/74 .
-
Sorry for the confusion, and yes, http://validator.citationstyles.org should be much easier to use. (off-topic: I have an updated version of the primer ready at http://docs.citationstyles.org/en/latest/primer.html, but I'm waiting with redirecting …
