Installation of the "Scannable Cite" translator should be fixed in the latest version (v1.0.33) of the RTF/ODF-Scan add-on.
-
Yes, I need to use ISO 690. But it's still an 'official' style from the Zotero Style Repository (http://zotero.org/styles), right? What I meant to ask was whether you used a style you edited yourself. It seems that there is a problem only with some …

Are you using a custom style? You could try removing and re-inserting the bibliography field. Or you could try to create a bibliography in a new document, to see if the problem is specific to your current document.
-
You need to describe what kind of problem you're experiencing.
-
See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes. You should be able to right-click the bibliography field and toggle its field code, or just toggle field codes for the entire document.

There is currently a bug in the installer for the ODF scan plugin, and the Scannable Cite translator isn't getting installed properly. The developers of the plugin are working on fixing it. Has this problem really been diagnosed, and is there a tick…

@segarra, @bwiernik, I just updated http://rintze.zelle.me/ref-extractor/, which now has a new toggle 'Store cite counts in "note" field'. When checked, the cite count is prepended to the "note" field ("Extra" in Zotero) in the format "Times cited: …

(@adamsmith, https://zotero-odf-scan.github.io/zotero-odf-scan/ also doesn't mention Juris-M at all)

I'm skeptical of this as a csl feature. I think handling this the way zotpress does, I.e. in the implementation makes a lot more sense. Like @adamsmith, I don't see this as a feature we should (or easily could) add to the CSL specification. Having t…

I can't remember ever having seen this particular requirement, and I agree it's not possible to implement with the current version of CSL. If anybody is aware of any other journals that require this (preferably from other publishers), we might put i…

If you're in a hurry you can try https://raw.githubusercontent.com/citation-style-language/styles/5564bb073b92c3b5ffe5135942cfb8908f16d3be/journal-of-mammalogy.csl. Otherwise we'll leave a note here when the official version is updated (I submitted …

Any thoughts on how to best report these count results, if I make it a standard feature? Since I haven't built in citeproc-js or Citation.js (https://larsgw.github.io/citation.js/) yet, I really only have the item metadata itself to work with. Beca…

It would be rather trivial for anybody with some knowledge of JavaScript to generate that type of data for Word .docx documents with a customized version of http://rintze.zelle.me/ref-extractor/, though. (I'm still wondering if this is a frequent e…

For the Zotero devs: maybe it would make sense to, when the user clicks the Zotero Refresh button in Word, check whether field codes are being shown, and if so, either automatically hide them or pop up a dialog screen where the user can select to do…

This typo should now be fixed (across all CSL versions).
-
@adamsmith, we should probably change the schema to only allow positive integers for all et-al min and use-first attributes (using the same logic we use for "line-spacing"). I'll create a ticket if you agree. There is no reason to ever use 0 as a va…

(looks like @FrancoisC figured this out for this style at https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/pull/2289)

In most versions of Word there should be a "Zotero" toolbar with a "Refresh" button. See e.g. http://i.imgur.com/8Fy6zuF.png

Personally I'd like to see reference managers move first here before we tackle this on the CSL side. Agree on this, by the way. Once reference managers start storing ORCIDs, we can start feeding them to the CSL processors for name disambiguation (an…

Note: Free WizFolio account allows only 50 references to be imported per month. Apparently WizFolio is on its way out: "By end of year 2017, we will halt all activities in WizFolio. ... This new platform, EEWOWW (pronounced as ee-wow) will replace W…

Just had to do that myself a few days ago - needed to extract the Word-doc embeded zotero references (it appears that the whole citation data is embeded in CSL JSON form in Word fields, so the puzzle was how to pull it back into zotero) I recently c…

I updated Reference Extractor to also extract Mendeley items. What would be the best way to present CSL JSON to Zotero once extracted? Apart from a download button, how would I make the metadata accessible to Zotero via a translator? Dedicated trans…

(@adamsmith, it's what I get when I tab-to-autocomplete after typing "@Dan Stil" [without quotes], though)

To change the language of references inserted into Word with the Zotero word processor plugin, you need to change the language in the Zotero document preferences (accessible via the Zotero toolbar in Word). And some styles are fixed to a particular…

@apfelstrudel, glad you got it to work and found it useful! You might be the first real user. It's important to keep mothers-in-law happy! Let me know if anything was unclear. Just as a small warning: I'm pretty sure the tool currently doesn't extr…

I created a tool, "Reference Extractor", to quickly extract embedded Zotero references from .docx Word documents. It's available at http://rintze.zelle.me/ref-extractor/. The extracted item metadata (in CSL JSON format) can be (re)imported into Zote…
