may I consider my bug report filed with this thread? I was able reproduce the problem, and I've created a ticket: https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1265

I realize that you probably don't want to provide a storage service. The roadmap tells us something different: http://www.zotero.org/support/development_roadmap Zotero 1.5: Server sync "This version of Zotero offers users the ability to sync their i…

You can check whether an error report is generated by Zotero (step 2 of Basic instructions): http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs

I just took a look at the code, and I think this already should be happening: https://www.zotero.org/trac/browser/extension/branches/1.0/chrome/content/zotero/xpcom/cite.js?rev=3896#L2648 Maybe the code is buggy?

Do you know how this issue is generally solved? I don't recall seeing this being discussed in any of the style guides I've read. Should the counting be continued like (a,b,c,...,y,z,aa,ab,ac,...)?
-
For what it's worth, this issue you're describing with the edition field is really similar to this one: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4956/difficulty-formatting-complex-book-editions-in-bibliography/ I don't really like the addition of a prin…

I really liked pulling the data from " " in pubmed XML as suggested by Rintze in the previous thread. To my surprise, while this exact behavior was introduced into the Pubmed Translator some time ago (https://www.zotero.org/trac/changeset/2847), the…

Can you perhaps elaborate a bit on the middle example? I'm not familiar with Bluebook, and I don't exactly understand which part of the output is generated automatically, and which part you enter as a locator. I also don't even recognize all fields …
-
Also on 2: this has been discussed before, e.g. at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3603/citation-styles-problem-with-page-numbering-format/ I do think however that as Pubmed keeps popping up as the main culprit with regard to this page-numberin…

but do I need to install that preview 1.5 sync program as a lot of them have the install button crossed out? Not really. You're right that only Zotero 1.5 and up will support dependent styles (the ones you can't install right now). However, these de…

Can you give an example of a scientific journal that uses this type of modified Harvard style? And have you already looked at the style repository (http://www.zotero.org/styles), to see if some of the other styles already meet your criteria?
-
This file may also come in handy, as it specifies all the default terms that can be called in a CSL style: https://xbiblio.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/xbiblio/csl/locales/locales-en-US.xml
-
Can you give an example, as I'm not sure what you define as a customized plural-sensitive term? Do you mean things like 'p' and 'pp' to indicate pages? Those are all locale-specific strings, and are handled in the same way as other terms.
-
I too have been looking into the ability to redefine terms. I wrote a style with some custom terms (check out the terms element in http://www.zotero.org/styles/mhra_note_without_bibliography/dev). The only caveat is that this style doesn't play nice…

The ticket contains the comment "Not sure whether this is still a problem.". I just checked, and I can (still) reproduce the problem on the Dutch Google Books site: e.g., saving the book from http://books.google.nl/books?id=RuQAAAAACAAJ gives "Asimo…

Unless you have linked files to items in your library, I don't think you'll encounter any problems by just copying your Zotero data directory from d: to your new c:. Just first find your Zotero data directory and back it up. Then install Zotero in …

I removed the Vancouver-dependent style and corrected the other one to use non-superscript numbers that are enclosed by parentheses. See the styles page for the corrected style, or install it directly via: http://www.zotero.org/styles/journal-of-th…

http://www.zotero.org/support/plugins doesn't provide download links to the word processor plugins as there are quite a few versions (OpenOffice/Word, Windows/Mac, and releases for either Zotero 1.0.x or Zotero 1.5 Sync Preview). The page for the W…

The download links on http://www.zotero.org/support/microsoft_word_integration work for me.
-
Can you supply a link that gives the error? I just tested a book from Google Books and it saved fine.
-
Have you tried the approach described at the link below? http://www.zotero.org/support/infrequently_asked_questions#importexport_and_creating_bibliographies Look for "I have two Zotero libraries. How can I combine them?".

Shall I assume that this is "in progress?" or do I need to file a bug? Ticket created: https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1250

The XML data of your paper in pubmed shows in /PubmedArticle/PubmedData: S1473-0502(06)00023-1 10.1016/j.transci.2005.11.005 16513425 So I guess that Zotero mistakenly harvested the pii-ID instead of the DOI when you saved the item from pubmed to…

I just looked at the BPS style guide, but it seems only to explicitly list two differences compared to APA: * italicised "et al." - It's not yet possible to write a CSL style for Zotero that does this. * don't use a series comma ("One modification …

Does this sound familiar to anyone? You'll probably have more luck asking this on the Endnote forum. Is there any possibility to discard duplicates in Zotero? It's a planned feature, but as of yet it's not possible to automate this: http://forums.zote…

Maybe the solution offered in this post might work: http://forums.thomsonscientific.com/ts/board/message?board.id=en-howto&message.id=235&query.id=46275#M235 The only additional steps would be to copy the references from the imported tab t…

Apparently, when the edition field starts with a number ("4" in this case), that number is used for the value of edition, and the rest is discarded. I'm not sure you can do anything to circumvent this 'intelligent behavior' of Zotero (maybe support …
