• I used Word because the instructions from Endnote said to do so. However, I tried not going through Word also, and still get a problem.

• "The selected file is not in a supported format." the file is a text file, created by exporting from endnote into RIS format, then opening in Word and saving as text, as described on the endnote instructions and zotero instructions.
