Hi Dan, and again report id: 1855590979

Hi Dan, happened again report id: 1640112262 Zotero 5.0.34-beta.1+5fcac10db This time what triggered it was changing a saved search

Hi Ben, alas I'm no programmer, and I strongly suspect my ignorance is fueling my belief that collapsible lists must surely be easy! [but seriously, it's not a thing? - see, I just don't have enough knowledge to know how little I know :)] how about…

Hi Ben, unfortunately Zoffile still crashes on me too often for it to be usable. I've sent through a couple of crash reports, hope that they're useful. Also on the usability front: not being able to duplicate my folder structure is a big problem. As…

Hi Dan, happened again What seems to trigger it is if I copy an entry that I've searched for into a new folder - but by no means every time. report id. 1582030870 [JavaScript Error: "uncaught exception: 2147500034" {file: "chrome://zotero/content…

Hi, I uninstalled Zotroid 0.5, installed 0.6 and it does start up much faster. However, selecting a folder causes it to hang, then crash, so can't use it at the moment. If I need to uninstall and wipe it before reinstalling, where is the Zotdroid da…

Hi there, I checked what version I'm running before posting this time, and good (ish) news 0.5 seems to be working. [ I'm trying this out on a Samsung Tab A (SM-T580), which I'd hope isn't too underpowered. Might give it a go on my phone too. ] Howe…

Hi Ben, nope, the PlayStore is still showing version 0.4 - which means my earlier comments were wrong, I actually checked this time and I'm still running version 0.4 [I've edited my earlier comment to reflect that] cheers, J

Just to give you a figure to work with : my library has 8,300 top level items - and I suspect that fits nicely in the "big but not huge" kind of range. That's just a result of my having used Zotero for eleven years now!
-
Hi Ben, first up thanks for your continuing efforts on this. It's much appreciated. Zotdroid 0.4 [edited, foolishly didn't check which version and assumed it had updated when it hadn't] appears to be working on my Samsung tablet, even with my large …

Hi Dan, still occasionally occurring report id. 1249961059 Zotero 5.0.24-beta.5+4e717a093 Linux Mint 18.2 Still haven't figured out how to reliably get this to happen, as it seems to occur whenever it feels like it.

Hi again, reinstalled it. Restarted it. It synced up to 100% and then it absolutely froze. Quit the application and then got the blank screen of whiteness on restarting. How big are people's libraries that are successfully syncing? I've got about 8,…

Hi there, I've installed this on a Samsung tablet running Android 7. As others have found it won't set up using Firefox but did begin to work with Chrome. Unfortunately it got stuck at 70% (or I got impatient ...) and I closed ZotDroid. Now on resta…

Hi dan, this just happened again - first time in ages. I had a saved search for a creator and I changed the creator in the search and hey bad presto, nothing showing in the middle pane. A restart of Zotero fixes the problem. Report id. 623585864 Z…

Happy to help out. Don't normally use chrome(ium - I'm on linux at the mo.) Installed the connector. When I first navigated to the page, it wasn't picking up the data properly - it was only offering to save it as a web-page, no yellow folder option…

Thanks both, the Brill translator is now working.
-
slaps own forehead - yes you can, *except* when you are looking in a saved search folder, and, in my defence: I have a lot of them, and use them constantly, and basically forgot that they aren't normal collections, so some things aren't possible in …
-
Ah OK - I probably did know this - but had forgotten due to not having to work on French texts for a while. Dan : so does the underscore work (unofficially) like a normal wildcard then?
-
Got the trash to empty and now all is well again
-
Ah ha! I already had a symlink from /usr/share/applications/ but there was an old entry that wasn't a symlink in ~/.local/share/applications/ changed that, and now it works. Brilliant. Thanks for your patience and support.
-
Hi, well I did both - I tried updating zotero.desktop and that still didn't import an ris file, so I updated zotero [Desktop Entry] Name=Zotero Exec=bash -c "$(dirname $(readlink -f %k))/zotero -url %U" Icon=zotero.ico Type=Application Terminal=fal…

Ah, well they're not working in linux mint 18.1 Zotero 5.0-beta.181+f3ceb7 I can right click an RIS file, open with Zotero, the Zotero pane comes forward but nothing else happens. Not seeing any errors, ("No errors have been logged since Zotero sta…
-
Hi Dan, would this also cover RIS files too? as currently 'opening with' does nothing for them either.
-
on the plus side, I just stumbled in to this and it had already been fixed before I could even report the error! so pretty good going there.

Hi @adamsmith : it was from here: http://www.jstor.org/stable/43037183 Suhamy, Ariel. ‘Style Épicurien, Style Spinoziste’. Archives de Philosophie 57, no. 3 (1994): 513–22. I'm wondering if this is a French journal preference as I have memories o…

That's great, thanks.

@DWL-SDCA , Hi there - fair enough from the volunteers perspective, but error reports contain all the information about OS, Zotero version etc. that the developers could need, which is why I asked in my first post if we still needed to include all …

Just to say that this problem is still intermittently occurring, report id. 456180813

hmm, that link suggest that Standalone will automatically pick the OS's language - which might be taken to imply that it'd also pick the OS's date format too. So, if that's not the case (my OS is set to English United Kingdom) it might be worth chan…
-
That's probably for the best :) Do include a line about where to find about:config in Standalone - it may just be because I'm pre-coffee but I did have a moment of trouble finding it - I'm so used to being able to type it into the url bar in Firefox…
