• Yes, I have, a number of times. It does not fix the problem. In fact it compounds it: when I click on an individual in-text citation to edit it, it will show up correctly, but after clicking refresh, the short title disappears.

• Thanks! The only problem now is that it is still auto-capitalizing. (And I have set the language to "de" which should override most presets.) Is there any way to fix that?

• Yes, according to the 7th edition of the MLA Handbook, it should be "trans."
