Yes, I have, a number of times. It does not fix the problem. In fact it compounds it: when I click on an individual in-text citation to edit it, it will show up correctly, but after clicking refresh, the short title disappears.

Thanks! The only problem now is that it is still auto-capitalizing. (And I have set the language to "de" which should override most presets.) Is there any way to fix that?

Yes, according to the 7th edition of the MLA Handbook, it should be "trans."

I'm having the same problem with MLA--"de Boor" is showing up in the B's and is automatically capitalized: "De Boor."
