I'm using 16.60 it says. I think my first version was 16.39 Tried to update but I couldn't because all my microsoft apps are up-to-date. Still the same problem

O that's strange, it says it's the newest version. I'll try to fix it now

I deleted the zotero.dotm and did everything you said. Problem still occurs: 1. In word I click on add/edit citation 2. then the pop up says it cant communicate with word. My word version is: 16.39 (20071300)

The problem is that I can't add a citation because of a communication error. And yes, I'm using Word. Reinstalling did not work
