Yesterday I gave a presentation about Zotero at our University and some of the library staff approached me to try to solve this. They offered to contact the support of the library database program (libero). I've told them to change, if possible, that…

(I think) I've found the line where Zotero finds the info in this OPAC (span class='Z3988'...). It has the place and edition fields (and more, also useful, like ISBN and series). Maybe the current translator doesn't put that info because it creates …
-
I'm using this OPAC too (http://webopacups.urbe.it/libero/WebOpac.cls). Zotero recognizes some information on it (title, author, publisher, year and [surprisingly!] short-title), but some information is lost in the process. Specially the city and t…

@Rintze: I've done the tests also for the updated Standalone (4.0.25.2) and it's working fine. Soon I'll update my styles into dependent ones.
-
@theoburn: Using the workaround mentioned, {:original-date: 1903} in the extra field, the styles of the Università Pontificia Salesiana, used for the field of theology, are able to present the information of the variables: original-title, original-p…

@Rintze. It's working fine in my tests with the styles you've suggested.
-
@Rintze: It works. Now that Zotero for Firefox has been updated I've tested the Journal of Baltic Studies (which has en-US default locale and points to taylor-and-francis-chicago-author-date, that has no default-locale). (Tested in Zotero 4.0.24 in …

Oh, of course! What was I thinking? Thanks again.
-
I'm not sure how to download the xpi file using Firefox (it insists in installing the extension...)
-
Thanks, @zuphilip. How is it installed in Standalone?
-
Good news. This is done with https://github.com/Emxiam/Zotero-bibliography-locale-switcher thanks to Exiam. It seems to work well (internally changes export.bibliographyLocale in an user-friendly way). I suggest to integrate this in Zotero itself. …
-
Thanks to all. @Rintze: Sure. (Indeed, it will be easier for me to maintain and update only the parent).
-
It seems that it doesn't work neither if the parent has no default-locale. I tried with universita-pontificia-salesiana styles and in the end I had to make a different style for every major language (https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles…
-
Thanks fbennett! For now I'll do two independent styles, one for italian and the other for the rest of languages.
-
Ok, it works now. - I imagine it'll take a little to appear in the zotero.org/styles repository. - Maybe it's better to change the information to "2012-11-16" Thanks again! EDIT: That was really fast! I'm giving a Demo of Zotero at the end of Dec…

I'm using Zotero Standalone 3.0.8 in an Ubuntu 12.04 system. - When I try to use the style in LibreOffice it says that "It seems not valid", and asks about the validation (the validation said that it's OK) - When I try to see it in the "Zotero R…

Yes, the terms are different in every language. So, better without default. Thanks.
-
Thanks a lot. @Rintze: This style will be used either in Catalan and Spanish. The style itself don't differ. But I'm not sure what the "default-locale" do.
-
Hello, do I need any other step to have my style in the repository? Thanks.
-
Thanks, adamsmith. 1. I started this style when the locale for Catalan didn't exist and the Spanish was incomplete. Now I've edited it according your indication. 2. Corrected. I expect it's Ok now: https://gist.github.com/2711197

New Citation Style for "teologia-catalunya" uploaded in: https://gist.github.com/2711197 Please, add it to the repository. Thanks.

I've been trying the MLZ and that's not what I need. For translated works, my Handbook of Style asks for some information (original title, date, edition, language, and, eventually, publisher and publisher place; see my example above); but perhaps o…

@Devin Roza I can suggest a (strange) workaround. If there is a field that you never use, you can put the information of the subtitle in that field and adapt your Style to add that information in the place and the format that you need. I'm currently…

Thanks, adamsmith. Is there an ETA for the new Zotero Release? (I presume it'll be the 3.0, non beta)

23) In the info tab of an item, I think the 'Title short' field must be immediately after the 'Title' field.
-
In my present work I'm using the 'original date' information, I mean, the date of the first edition. And, for the translations, the 'original title' the 'original edition', and the 'original language'. My Handbook of Style demands citations like: …

I mean, that works in chrome://zotero/content/tools/csledit.xul with the correct en-dashes, but I still get the question mark in OpenOffice, where can the problem be then? In the plug-in?
-
I'm using this info in my present work. And also, for the translations, the 'original title' the 'original edition', and the 'original language'. My Handbook of Style demands: Balz, Horst – Schneider, Gerhard, Diccionario Exegético del Nuevo Testam…

Ok then. The 55th line of the locale xml will be presentado en Can you change it? Must I write an email to Rintze?

More about 'presented at' I'm not sure if I understand it. I've seen in the Chicago Style: 'presented at' goes always with the 'event' variable. In what type is it used? How the program will be able to know if the info typed there is male or femal…
