1) See this topic. 2) New item types are added after careful scrutiny. In the legal field, there are many topics on the forum, [e.g.: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/6778/international-treaties-and-un-documents/] and a specific category : http…

I understand your confusion. I'm not a native speaker however. In the French translation, we had chosen "Documents sans collection", i.e. "items without collection"
-
Now in the documentation.
-
Right-click (Control-click on a Mac) on the library (My Library or the group name) and select "Show Unfiled Items". This adds an "Unfiled Items" virtual saved search.
-
Duplicate your item (The Cambridge Companion) then change the type of your duplicated item from "Book" to "Book Section".
-
Thanks Dan!

Have a look on Frank Bennett's "Abbreviations Gadget": http://citationstylist.org/tools/

like pressing Delete/Backspace, only removes the item from the current collection. That would be great to have a keyboard shortcut to delete item from library. On Windows, something like Shift+Del maybe.
-
Some people (including me) like the fact that the user interface makes it clear which fields the item has and what their values are. +1.
-
For what it's worth, the change could be made to just the British English locale, if it turns out preferences differ between American and British English. I agree.

This might be useful fo French law too. I need to think about it... Related: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/9823/french-law-cases-droit-francais-decisions-arrets-jugements/

I add my voice to this discussion in order to say that it would be great for french user to have more field then Collaborator ; mainly "préf." (for the writer of the preface), "postface", "dir.", "avant-propos". Documented in "LA RÉFÉRENCE BIBLIOGRA…

Great plugin: thanks Frank (I updated FF to make it work). I didn't find "help" or guidelines. I searched them in the firefox add-ons manager. But guidelines are in the "about" tab: strange. The "but if you're reading this, you already know that" …

@adamsmith: No, this should work with pdf or html snapshots. I'm on Win 7 32, FF 5.0.1, Z 2.1.8

Juste au cas où: votre antivirus est-il bien à jour? Pour le reste, les développeurs seront plus utiles que moi!

I like adamsmith's idea. But we can make things simpler with a list of terms created by each user for its own need. It's very basic but will address the "issue" flexibly. IMO, we don't need localization here.

1) Restart your computer. 2) If you still get the message, follow the steps in the Reporting Startup Errors section of the Reporting Bugs page and let us know what appears in the Error Console.

Indeed, I had Avram's recent post in mind.

@adamsmith: Yes, I know this. I just wanted to point out this need... There has been some posts about that recently on the forum. Maybe this has to be tackled directly in the future. What Frank has implemented in citeproc-js 1.0.183 is no more than …

There's really nothing to be done for this without access to the language field of the target item. That would be very very useful: we would be able to use different locale terms ("ed.", "éd.") in one style. Some styles require this.
-
This is now fixed.
-
@adamsmith: That has been reported on twitter by many French librarians. They've contacted sudoc directly: it's a bug with COinS. I think (hope) this should be fixed by Sudoc quickly. (Sudoc is the global catalog for all French universities librari…
-
@Marc: Yes, it's a problem with the sudoc website only. That should be temporary but needs some changes on the "translator" (i.e.: the script which allows zotero to retrieve data from sudoc).
