By chance, his family name is not "de Hédelin" What about such a case: "Richelieu (Armand-Jean du Plessis, cardinal, duc de)"? [No use case for me - and I'm not even sure how this has to be cited.]

You were not linking to the right url in the adress field, I think (choose the "raw" link on github). Your style validates now. http://validator.nu/?doc=https://raw.github.com/gist/1016344/02856048214586556904731602dacaddae8ba766/gistfile1.txt&s…

@bentle: If you select the zwhuang's code from the first to the last line, then copy&paste, you'll get all.

What does mean "behave" exactly here? Only their place/order? More than that (letter case, ...)? If this is their order, this looks fine to me.
-
Clearly, yes.

[I comment l2lafitte's second proposal in this post.] The main argument against a universal locator type is portability I think. However, as it is done at the moment with item types and fields, it would be great to examine locator types and, also,…

I added this for the sake of clarity and honesty. Unofficial fixes like this one are often recommended without even this disclaimer...

Thanks Dan. This works well now.

;-) No problem, I should have been clearer.

Oh, sorry! I'm really surprised you don't know csledit.xul. That's the Zotero Reference Pane. Very useful tool! The Zotero Reference Test pane. Available by entering "chrome://zotero/content/tools/csledit.xul" in the Firefox address bar, this tool p…

Do you mean the next Zotero release will produce correct bibliographies as well ?Not sure to understand you. My point is that csledit.xul is broken for superscript: it can't handle superscript added through unicode. The change (HTML sup to unicode)…
-
Your style is not at fault on this point. I checked the problem with zotero 2.1.6r9413: no problem except with csledit.xul which displays, indeed, o. I knew that csledit.xul wasn't up-to-date and forgot to ask you... Please try your style with the M…

If you're relying in your style on locales-fr-FR.xml, I'm suprised that you don't get the right output. One will have to confirm this... (I can't check it right now as I've no zotero installed at the moment)
-
I should add that affixes on the name-part work well but are not allowed by the specs at the moment: your style won't validate. Not a big deal however since CSL specs will probably change on that point in the future: https://github.com/citation-styl…

So how can I do a carriage between "Lorblanchet 2001" and "Lorblanchet (M.)". Is it possible to have the initial of first name between brackets ? That should work: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/17801/authors-with-no-given-name/#Item_28 And …

The updated locales-fr-FR.xml has been merged to 2.1 branch three days ago: https://www.zotero.org/trac/changeset/9393 Then, that should work in last 2.1.6r9413 (I can't test here): if you're using tags in your own csl style, you should replace th…

How was it in other 2.1.6r? There has been some changes in the way superscripting is handled by the processor. HTML tags won't be allowed anymore in the locales-xx-XX.xml files. In order to get the desired output, locales-xx-XX.xml (and csl style) …

Note that I don't use this plugin: there might have been some improvements in the meantime.

For Google Scholar, there is an add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/zotero-scholar-citations/ But note that the automated requests can get you locked out of Google Scholar. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/12036/locked-out-of-go…

I haven't tested under FF 3.6 yet, but it's worth a try. Nothing happens with FF 3.6. and ZiH 0.6.

On windows, you can select all items by clicking Ctrl+a. Then right-click "Rename from...". If there is no "rename...", that's because some attachments have no parent item: you need to deselect them (ctrl-click) before.
-
There are many threads about that: http://www.zotero.org/search/#forums/slow That might help you!

There is no customizable item type, largely for data portability reasons. Read this: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15636/#Item_1 (ajlyon's first post)

No custom types. For music, you can choose: "audio recording", "podcast", "radio broadcast". Click on the green plus icon in the center column. Select the type of item you want to create from the drop down menu. You can view more item types at the b…

(it may work with 3.6, I'm not sure), I can install it to with firefox 3.6.17 (and zotero 2.1.6r9354, win 7) but nothing happens.

That's going to be done, in zotero 2.2 probably. Which item types should have an "editorial-director" creator role? Book, bookSection (="chapitre de livre"), journalArticle (="article de revue")?

While I kind-of "know" how to enter most North American and Northern and Western European names, I don't always know what formatting I want for other authors. I know how to enter compound names to get a particular result but I don't always know the…

I'm unable to install it with firefox 3.6.17 (and zotero 2.1.6, win 7).
